Maybe If you have checked Davidos videos, you would have known whether he gave the writers of his songs credits or not.. there's always "written by" in every of His videos. he doesn't necessarily need to do that on Twitter. am sure the reason he did this for gold was to make Nigerians see that he and dekunle gold have quashed their beefs....

Like you stated, gifts are different. There are so many songwriters who don't know how to sing but are good at knowing voices that will best suit the songs they write. what would you have them do?

There are also many singers who are not too good at writing songs or don't have the time at all to write.

In the world where things work much better, sometimes, it takes almost 5-10 songwriters (other than the singer) months or years to finish writing a song. This is why most of their old songs are still gold!

Most musicians have song writers it's just the nature of the game. But I do wonder why the song writers don't just sing the songs they write and seek out sponsors to promote it. Ed Sheeran used to write songs for Tailor swift, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Hilary Duff and many others until he started singing his own songs. His song "Shape of You" is easily one of the highest watched videos on YouTube, and most of his songs top billboards worldwide

Not every body can sing, most good song writers can't sing. Take for instance password gobe and davdio gobe. U can tell password has a sweet voice but can't deliver 100 percent to the fans. But davido bought the song and transformed It from a mediocre to a hit.

Habaaaaa, easy with the lie na, Wizkid only wrote his own part not the entire song.

The ranters are further proof that most Nigerians actually are illiterate. Their case is worse when they are "educated" they think they know it and needs not to learn or that nobody can "tutor" them.
Song/Music comprise of many aspect which include at least;
1. Production
2. Composition
3. Song writing
4. Song arrangement
5. Song vocal (singing the song)

It is not compulsory to do all this. Many artiste don't because you must acknowledge other talents and bring them in for a better music to your fans. Don't be a jack of all trades cos it's only in exceptional case that you will be a master in all.
Some artiste only do the vocal. That's the 5th item and they are the known musicians.

So anyone asking David to write all or expecting him to have written all his songs is only a sheer promoter of mediocrity or an unrealistic nincompoop

Infact if u listen to wizkid well you will understand that that guy has wasted many amazing beats and sounds on absolute rubbish lyrics and senseless words from that his sftos album to some of his earlier work the dude just massacre correct beats with jargons see dirty whine see many smart collaboration wey wizzy just go sing rabbish that's why till today despite his excesses davido try pass wizkid for Intl Collaborations. And lyricism the worst na tecno then Mr Eazi to Dem slimcase to even some rappers chai!

Respect to Davido for giving credits to his song writers. Not all artist have the time to sit down and write. Giving credit to song writer should on the same level to beat producers.
