CMM Academy is expanding its team and we are on the hunt for an experienced and talented Web Design Instructor to run our ever growing classes. CMM Academy is looking for passionate professionals who want to be part of something new and exciting.
Our courses have already become extremely popular and we are now expanding into new and ever more exciting topics around Web Design. We are looking for someone who is passionate and can communicate effectively with our students.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a working professional with industry experience in web technologies, design and development. You must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the position within CMM.
• Experience doing hands-on design and development work, combined with the ability to teach eager students who wish to enter the field of interactive experience design.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Sciences, Information Architecture or related field, or equivalent professional experience (e.g., programming, software engineering).
• Demonstrates technical skills in production of website, mobile and/or desktop application development
• Valid online portfolio
• Fluent English Speaker
• 4+ years experience in your specific area
• Ability to explain complex task in a clear and simple way
• Patience, this is vital!
• Passionate and confident personality

Other Requirements
• Demonstrates ability to create front and backend websites, desktop applications or mobile applications
• Ability to communicate with students in a friendly and patient manner
• Ability to work unsupervised in a classroom environment
• Ability to take direction from department director

These qualities are a huge plus
• Prior teaching experience
• Ability to work across a combination of disciplines
• Basic Graphic/UI design knowledge
• Ability to critique students’ design and debug code

The Department of Arts in the School of Design at the CMM is seeking candidates to teach the art production courses in Animation. Candidates will be teaching a series of courses that use both industry standard as well experimental forms of Animation to produce animated artwork. The load is six-hour studios per week. Candidates must have a Bsc. in Fine Arts or related degree or 5-years professional experience and experience teaching animation.

Candidates are expected to be technically proficient and accomplished artists or animators. Significant exhibition/screening record or professional production experience, as well as teaching experience is required.

Knowledge of animation techniques including DSLR stop-motion, 3D computer animation using Maya, and 2D computer animation complemented with an ability to integrate examples from the history of cinema, animation, and procedural art forms is desirable.
