You can't be so sure bro, i've seen two here in Owerri already but unfortunately they are males ( Pictures below from Owerri dog walk 2015) and i've lost their owners contact. I believe there are some in Nigeria, i just gotta look in the right places hence the reason for opening this thread.. You'll be surprised at the breeds we have here in Nigeria

I get where u coming from, for the breed's blood line not to be misplaced, I'm not going too far, I'd just cross her with a GSD& the probability her pups would have a GSD gene is higher.. .so now we know her parents, it's easy to reconnect back& save her from being lost in the breed's world.

Your dog is relatively OK but your mindset isn't.
To be very polite, the dog has potential of springing slightly pure puppies depending on the genes of the sire(like you said)

But that really could also lead to misplaced sideeffects. you wouldn't want uglier puppies ba?

Lolz.... Truth be told... About 75% of dogs in Nigeria (let not talk about other countries) are mixed... Trace their lineage, u would see that 80% of most GSDz have a Rottweiler blood line, but depending on the breed u use in crossing the hybrid would determine the dominatine gene, she's still a new generation, and researches explained there is still a way to produce one of the genes she has in a 80:20/90:10 ratio, I can get a full Rott in her 4th generation or even 3rd/2nd generation depending on how dominating the rott's gene I use in crossing her is, that was actually what I wanted, now, she has a 78:22 GSD features... so, with a dominating GSD gene I use to cross her, I can reverse her genotype to that of GSD in a ratio of 90:10 ....When she gives birth, I'll post her pictures here &that of her puppies (she's a beautiful creature mehn with I v. Fine&neat skin type) and the Dog u condemning as a useless crap in breeding /so(according to your summary) is already a dog some fams are wishing to grab a pup.. .m being disturbed to cross now gaaan... Just want an 79% gene maturity b4 crossing.

Lolz, she's not lost in her lineage, I can still identify her parents, maybe one of these days I would ask for their pictires so u can see for your self she's just a new generation &not a lost generation.. But Thanks anyways .

to me there is nothing beautiful about hybrid dogs they are like lost people without identity if yu love mix breeds so much keep it to your self and enjoy it all alone normally yu are not even supposed to breed with that dog except maybe yu are trying to develop a new breed and in that case yu don't sell to the public not trying to cross a hybrid dog with a GSD and hope to get a full GSD pup since yu love hybrids a lot keep them to your self and enjoy them all by yourself. #peace

Nothing good will come out of a rott gsd mix. Gsd is not as strong as you think. This I tell you. Instead keep the GSD bloodline by mating a gsd not a Rott.

I've decided to cross her with a pure breed GSD, how about that? I should get a full GSD pups thou, since she has a GSD physique

I beg to differ. I can't see any decent looking Pup coming from a Rott x GSD.

Both dogs are structurally different. While the well bred GSD from a good pedigree has an athletic and agile body build, a pedigree Rott has a more studier and muscular body.

Rather than Rott x GSD, consider Rott x Boer Boel or Rott x Bull Mastiff if at all you have to cross. Boer Boel's and Bull Mastiff's have a body build akin to the Rottweiler. Since you have interest in height, the Bull Mastiff can offer you a decent few inches.

Pls if you are breeding for sale/starting a kennel business, go for pure breeds.

You are going to end up with a mutt . You already have a dog with negligible resemblance with a Rott. Mating her with a Rott will be a disaster . You will just be creating a bunch of ugly , unappealing dogs .
Trust me bro , you will not be inventing anything new with your plan of mixing a mutt Gsd with a Rott .

But sorry, I did my research b4 venturing into it& Rott × Gsd hybrid are two very compatible breeds. The gsd is a v. Strong breed so as the rott it's not like I'm crossing a great Dane with a Lhasa. It would not go as planned. Because of a taller rottweiler you are about to make useless, the breed efficiency of the Rottweiler.

You realize that there is more to a dog than looks. That GSD isn't going to offer any improvement to the breed. So you shouldn't have mixed. To get a taller rott, there are tall rott to buy
