This, right here, has been the problem of Nigeria since 1966. It's called lack of mutual trust. Nobody believes anything anyone says in this country, especially when it comes from the leaders. One now wonders why struggle to keep this country going when nobody trusts anyone.

Skepticism among the populace towards the govt is a part of democracy.

A skeptical populace are not easily fooled.

Don't confuse skepticism for cynicism.

IPOB/Obidient clowns are cynics .

Someone who was there when it happened had spoken. SMH!

Everyone can't be a stooge. When our own senators deceived us about their monthly take home after voting them into power, the godfearing ones among them spoke out and debunked their claim. Good and sensible leaders still exist in Nigeria of today.

There are certain sensitive positions you don't sack the heads any how .

Any way, his sack or resignation won't in any way make Peter Obi president now or never.

Baba, you are a confirmed ronu miscreant grin

You know nothing.

What infrastructure was present in present day Anambra when it was in Old Anambra ?

Even Nnsuka was much better than any town in current Anambra .

Just have it in the back of your mind that like all divorces, and with loan obligations everywhere, Anioma will be saddled with its own fair share of Delta loans especially every penny that went into Asaba .

Go and sleep, you don't have any points, when will enugu refund Anambra for the infrastructure that was used to build enugu City? cheesy

Small boys

Anambra state was carved out of Greater Anambra.

It is Anambra that owes Enugu and not the other way but giving there was nothing on ground in new Anambra as at the time of it being carved out of old Anambra , there was no need to reconcile anything.

In the case of Anioma state, all loans, liabilities and assets by Delta state under Anioma will be duly divided.

You don't expect the remaining Delta state to be paying loans on projects carried out in Delta north ?

I laff.

I believe his resignation had to do with the gun runner who was arrested in a second floor suite of the NLC building.

Either by direct omission or commission, this man did not do his job properly to the best of his abilities and oath of loyalty he took when assuming office.

Till then, just relax.

Not my problem other than they got gifted a state capital .

Well, when Anioma comes , the divorce alimony will include paying for all the infrastructure and loans used in making Asaba a befitting capital.

Go and check the deed to that title

It has a 99y lease on it .

Dangote is renting the land

No land anywhere is exclusively owned by that who purchased it.

Even in the US, you must still pay county tax on that building as long as it is standing on county land. Failure to which it returns to the county.

If you want permanent land, go to your village and demand your share from your elders.

You still didn’t say anything.

All this long epistle, you would used it to itemize what Anioma people stand to lose by joining Southeast.

Is it their land?

If yes, can you cite any instances of where Igbos have bought land in vast majority and ended up starting to cause problems for the native?

And why is it a hot topic for you guys ?

Last I checked you are not from Delta north and here you are demanding they key into joining SE region.

You should tell us why Anioma state creation and it's yoking to the SE is beneficial to Anioma people.

Where they in any way oppressed in Delta state ? Asaba is the capital of Delta state and enjoyed a lot of investment by the state govt. Investment that came from resources in the south.

The rotational system in place has seen them have a governor. So they can't say they have been cheated.

If for some reason they want to be on their own,I and ever other Deltan is very ok with their choice.

The only qualms I have is why it is now an Ibo agenda to see to Anioma joining the SE geopolitcal region ?

Why?

Just like Lagos.

Only families and Lagos state owns lands.

You are merely renting.

This applies to most parts of the SS also where your continued stay is at the descretion of the community.

The day they don't want you in their midst, nah instant quit notice.

Blood is thicker than water.

If you notice, the SE are not that interested in Delta south, despite the natural resources there. They respect Warri, Sapele and Ughelli, but their blood is in Anioma.

What I do know is that only Ned Asaba province will vote in a plebescite to leave Delta state and this will be as a result of the overwhelming SE population residing there.

At the end, Anioma will be reduced to only Asaba and from there we will suggest that it be joined to Anambra .

Ned can now try his luck running as Governor of Anambra or if he fails, he can be their Representative in the NASS because Asaba will not qualify to even have a Senator.

So it's good they are selling themselves across the Niger. They already sold every inch of land they have .

If there's any sense left in that Delta north , they should ask themselves why the entire SE is salivating about the creation of Anioma and it being lumped to the SE region.

These people carry your Anioma state matter for head pass their own state.

In as much as I am not and will never be opposed to Anioma state creation as I see places like Asaba as long lost due to the ever growing changing demography that will surely upset the already peaceful balance we have in Delta state. I also don't want my state capital to be overrun by invaders. It's for this reason I want Anioma to be created. You sold your lands to them , now you have to live with them.

But what I should ask you is why are these people so hell bent on making your future state part of the SE?

For reference, I urge you to go and read on the memoirs and accounts of Maj. Gen David Ejoor when he served as Governor of the Midwest .

There are a lot your people can learn from the past.

for them to be detained which is safer for them and in the end they Will be released at the back by the sponsors.
I know my country

Probably just the lookout and guards .

The real criminals will be far from the location and will be communicating to them regularly to move the hostages from one safe house to another.

The real kidnappers will be at the periphery of the safe house standing guard and moving frequently when making ransom negotiations

These waifs are probably just guarding the hostages.

Nothing makes sense with all these kidnapping cases. Whenever the criminals are caught, they look like they haven’t eaten in weeks. There’s no way they’re the ones benefiting from those millions they collect in ransom.

But after they’re caught. The case dies. Nothing is ever heard about it again. No court case. No sentencing. No follow up. No sponsors named. Rinse and repeat.

Someone’s lying.

You think these criminals use their ransom money for anything good ?

90% of their loot goes to drugs and cheap wh0res.
