emmaodet: That's one of the unannounced requirements of joining NATO and the EU. Some months back, Georgia lifted the ban on direct flights from Russia. The EU immediately responded, saying the flight resumption will affect Georgia's chances of joining the EU. This is a country that's not even yet in the EU, or even has the possibility of joining the EU in the near or far future. Yet, the EU is already encouraging it to be aggressive towards Russia. What then happens when Georgia joins the EU? 10 Likes 2 Shares

Fash20: Nuclear powered subs are noisy. They are big and there is a limit to where the can operate. They typically operate in deeper waters and cannot be close to shores. Their alternative are diesel-electric submarines. They are smaller, quieter, and can operate close to shores. Diesel-electric subs use electric underwater but need to come to the surface to use the diesel engine to recharge their batteries. They'll also need fresh air. This makes them easy targets for enemy aircraft. In fact, this was how the Allies destroyed most German submarines during WWII. They wait for them to surface and take them out. So, in all, nuclear and diesel electric subs complement themselves. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Kremlingrad: Misspelling the name is just another evidence of you and DystopianMuse being the same person. I mean is it Dystopia that you can't spell? It's commonsense that you'll copy and paste the name. Instead, you're resorting to gimmicks by misspelling the name. You think that will throw anyone off your track? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Kremlingrad: Mr Kremlingrad, your habit of insulting others looks similar to that of DystopianMuse. I did some digging and discovered you created your profile on April 18. By a "stroke of luck," April 18 was the last time DystopianMuse logged onto Nairaland. And your first comment was on this thread, indicating you are definitely not a newbie here. You and DystopianMuse are obviously the same person. Who have you been stealing from this time? 22 Likes 8 Shares

Foreign Affairs / Re: Houthis Urge UN To Resume Aid Distribution To Fend Off Famine In Yemen. by shoodboi2: 4:00pm On Apr 18 |
The US and Saudi Arabia sanctioned the hell out of Yemen, cutting off food, fuel, and medicine from entering the country. This sanctions came after the Houthis defeated US-backed Saudi on the battlefield. Saudi itself had attacked Yemen after Yemeni people protested against the puppet president Saudi and the US imposed on them. After sanctioning the country, the US and Saudi are now using food to armtwist Yemen to do their bidding. When Yemen does what they want, they allow Yemen to buy and import food. When Yemen refuses to do what they want, they stop Yemen from buying food and sanction the hell out of any country that dares to sell food to them. This time, they're withholding food after Yemen declared and enforced a naval blockade in response to Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza. The ships Yemen attacks are transporting weapons to Israel in most cases. And Yemen has made it clear: You want us to stop bombing your ships, then stop killing women and children, and destroying schools and hospitals in Gaza. It's that simple. Mind you, the food we are talking about is not free. Yemen pays for it in cash. The US and Saudi only use it as a weapon to control the country. |

FoolishBoy419: Yep. You got it. Thanks for the clarification. Hamas uses unguided rockets that fly in a ballistic tragectory. They are not considered missiles because of their smaller weight and speed. 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by shoodboi2: 7:56am On Apr 18 |
emmaodet: Very well explained. I should add that this only works for ballistic missiles, like the ones Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah use, since those fly in a highly predictable manner. It doesn't work (except in very specific situations) for tactical missiles since those fly in an unpredictable manner and can hide in the terrain, making them harder to detect. This is why Ukraine's western air defence largely fails against Russia while Israel's has been more successful against Hamas. Russia uses tactical missiles. Hamas uses ballistic missiles. Israel was also able to intercept Iran's missiles to some extent because Iran used ballistic missiles. The tables will turn when Israel finds itself at the receiving end of a tactical missile barrage. The iron dome will become a joke at that point. 1 Like |

The bishop was stabbed while delivering a lecture condeming Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza. The stabber is not a Muslim as botragelad and the alternate handles he uses to comment are trying to insinuate. The first stabbing that occured earlier, which botragelad talked about, was committed by a White Christian man named Joel Cauchi. Since he's not a Muslim, they claimed the man had a "mental illness". But if he was a Muslim, they would have claimed he did it because of Islam and not because he is a murderer or has a mental illness. Funny enough, our in-house Senior Clownmaster botragelad refused to post the news after initially lying that the stabber was a Muslim 🤡🤡 But I posted it and it made frontpage: https://www.nairaland.com/8061379/joel-cauchi-sydney-mall-stabbing This is one of the videos where the Bishop condemned Israel's treatment of Palestinians: (Nairaland deletes links to Twitter. Clownmaster botragelad 🤡 and his flying circus are hiding under their beds hoping this thread never makes frontpage. The same botragelad posted this news on Nairaland, insinuating it was done by a Muslim Arab man even when the news never reported such. He's still reeling in pains from the retaliatory attacks that Iran coordinated against Israel yesterday after Israel bombed Iran's embassy. Botragelad, why are you not posting about Iran's disciplinary action against Israel. What's wrong? 😂 53 Likes 7 Shares |

Joel Cauchi is not African and he's not a Muslim. If he were, they would have plastered their headlines with "Muslim man this" and "African migrant that" but he's white, so they say he has mental illness. But now that he is a White Christian man, they are saying there's no "ideological motive" because presumably, he needs to be a Muslim or African to have an ideological motive. If he were a Muslim, they would've started mentioning Islam as if he did it because of religion and not because he's just being nasty. And if he were an African migrant, that will even be worse. They will use it to support their removal of Africans and blacks from Australia and justify denying us visas because according to them, we are wild animals that need to be tamed. This clearly is a clear case of the anti-African and anti-Islamic posture being spread by western media. 242 Likes 33 Shares |

Vic2023: Make sky no clear ke? Everybody will give space. Even the devil will suspend its operations over that airspace for the meantime. Iran is this, Iran is that, Iran cannot defend itself against Israel's aggression... why then is everyone suspending flights to Israel and even refusing to fly over Israel? Even Nethanyahu has reduced his noisemaking. I'm sure he's currently hiding in a bunker under someone's farm. slowpoke. After losing to Hamas on the battlefield, he started to attack Palestinian civilians and hospitals. When that failed, he shifted to attacking civilians in Lebanon before finally focusing on attacking Iran in Syria. He probably thought he would get away with it as usual. Now, Nethanyahu and the US are begging in private and making statements in public 😂 Well, you can't blame Nethanyahu. It's Iran that caused it. The US killed your top general and all you did was to strike a US base instead of killing a US general in return. So, how won't Israel kill your general? With all Nathanyahoo's noise and braggado, why didn't he bomb Yemen when they fired missiles and drones at Israel? He knows those ones don't send him, unlike Iran that still likes being careful. In all, interesting days ahead. But if Iran doesn't do some really scary things, they should be rest assured that Israel and the US will kill more of their generals. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
