This is easily the worst World Cup ever. There is literally zero world cup fever in the air. I took a walk around the neighborhood yesterday and everyone was just minding their business as if nothing important was happening. Zero gist about it. Zero interest as we saw with previous World Cups.

Even NL front page that used to give us back to back news about previous world cups is dull with just passing news about the current one. The US really destroyed the World Cup. Every single thing they the US told us will happen at the Qatar 2022 and Russia 2018 World Cups are happening in the US today. They politicized and destroyed what should have been a sweet event.

Parties on both sides hate the deal. The hawks on the US/Israeli side and the conservatives in Iran both believe it is a bad deal. Both parties will still want to see some more combat before agreeing to any sort deal.

For me, I'd still love some additional combat. Iran has shown some serious resilience + the ability to cause considerable damage. They have the upper hand and will get a better deal if they string the Americans and Israelis along.

Plus the hawks in the US and Israel cannot be appeased and believe in total capitulation. They will only use this opportunity to rearm and re-strategize before tearing up the deal and attacking once Iran looses its guard.

The best bet at this point is increased internal opposition against the reformists because they are the clog in the wheel. And the conservatives appear to be very careful in managing them because despite being generally useless, they can quickly become a major source of destabilization.

4. The disbandment of the so-called International Legions who have been largely destroyed by Russian airstrikes, infantry, and artillery

5. The never-ending grabbing of people off the streets of Ukraine to feed into the Ukrainian meat grinder

6. And of course, the protests and pushbacks from Ukrainians who are refusing to be kidnapped into a failed army that can't win battles

As we have repeatedly told you folks over and over, propaganda and social media wins are not victory. They will only make you feel better or at most, give you hope, but it all ends there.
