It’s obvious that his paymaster, Atiku (Tinubu’s mole), won’t emerge as the ADC flag bearer. They all know Peter Obi is the only one capable of defeating Tinubu by a wide margin, but they prefer weak candidates like Atiku, Goodluck Jonathan, Amaechi, the Oyo State Governor etc, just to ensure Tinubu continues. Replacing him with Kwankwaso won’t change much either, as Kwankwaso couldn’t even win more than two states in the North in the 2023 elections, he simply doesn't command enough widespread northern support. The true game-changer in 2027 is Nasir El-Rufai. If El-Rufai teams up with Peter Obi, it could lead to a massive shift of northern votes in Obi’s favor. His influence would also go a long way in curbing election rigging in the North. Peter Obi needs a strong political figure who can take on the hard, behind-the-scenes battles, what many call “dirty politics.” Datti hasn’t been able to play that role effectively. El-Rufai stepping in as Obi’s running mate wouldn’t just boost Obi’s chances, it would also strategically position El-Rufai for a presidential run in 2031 when power is expected to return to the North. 1 Like |

Unlike the current leadership, which has marginalized the North in so many ways, relocating the France military base to the North which lead to more insecurty, retiring numerous Northern officials from the NNPC, disproportionately recruiting from the South-West, moving key institutions like the CBN headquarters from Abuja to Lagos, halting development projects meant for Abuja, and replacing Northern heads of institutions with South-Westerners. Obi offers a different vision and will never do that because he has human sympathy Come 2027, the North will speak loudly. The people are watching, and they are ready. |

INEC and Nigerian banks are among the most corrupt and sensitive institutions in the country. Fixing them would tackle a major part of Nigeria's corruption and strengthen its institutions by up to 70%. |
