PoliticsRe: Kayode Ogundamisi To Ben Murray-bruce On MTN/NCC N5bn Fine. by Shosholoza: 1:35pm On Nov 06, 2015
Demdem:

Whether is too much or not is debatable expecially considering its impact to our National security and the law can be updated but not until Mtn pays up this fine first.
MTN can't claim ignorance of this in the first place yet they choose to deliberately contravene such. Their competitors, both local and foreign that made sure they obeyed, were they fools to have obeyed? What does Mtn take us for?
The law may be reviewed but not until MTN pays up.
Now I c the $5.2 billion is very important to u, but u r not solving anything. This is not a football game where u want 2 c your team scoring. Pliz take your time and analyse this crisis.
PoliticsRe: Kayode Ogundamisi To Ben Murray-bruce On MTN/NCC N5bn Fine. by Shosholoza:
The former President of SA Thabo Mbeki once spoke of African Renaissance, from economical point of view that means Africans need to learn to trade with themselves. We have a lot in this continent the only problem is that we all need to have one view. I'm not defending but MTN has broken Nigerian laws then its ok to issue a fine but $5.2 billion ( $1 million x 5000) is way too much. I'm so disappointed that there are some of our Nigerian brothers who sing China and USA over SA, while MTN, Shoprite and DSTV were the beginning of this renaissance and the era of SA buying all its oil from Nigeria and other African countries. I know its a long process or a small step but that is what we need rather than these fights. MTN needs to sit down with the NCC and settle this matter even it takes some months, because African countries are very young to rip each other apart. Its very sad for African to celebrate this.
