Chief Amobi has undertaken many tasks for the APC in both the state and at national levels which are not limited to being an executive organizing committee member of the APC Presidential and Governahip rallies in Abia State. He has also participated in various committees at the National level. Without dispute, Amobi is critical to future political leadership assignments. he's an exemplary personality who exudes the characteristics of how political leaders should emerge by having viable source of living before venturing into politics. He may have become the main issue in Abia politics as many expect him to play greater roles. The question therefore, is whether you are with him or not. The young dexterous political mobiliser cum entrepreneur contested to represent the good people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi at the House of Representatives in the 2019 general elections. Prior to his formal declaration the young entrepreneur and politician had received numerous endorsements from various socio-political groups as the right man to take over the advocacy affairs of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal constituency at the green chambers. In what can be described as the icing on the cake was when the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isuikwuato local government area of Abia state unanimously endorsed his candidacy. To the admiration of all, Chief Amobi formally presented himself to embark on a Salvation Journey to the Federal House of Representatives Isuikwuato/Umunneochi at a grand declaration rally held on August 6 2019. The ever-pragmatic Chief Amobi attracted distinguished party stakeholders to grace the rally which was a very rare feat. The massive rally had the attendance of former governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, APC National Vice Chairman South East Emmanuel Omachkwu, APC State Working Committee members, APC Abia North Zonal Chairman Chief Chris Ajah and other party leaders including friends and supporters. Chief Amobi’s grand rally sent a strong statement that he is fully in ground and in direct touch with his people . This was as result of the unprecedented mammoth crowd that besieged the rally ground. Chief Amobi can be described in many ways as a determined young man, highly intellectual, amiable and distinctively pragmatic in his approach. He is a 21st century politician whose ideals are people centric, a bridge builder and has constantly been building bridges between the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi. This has earned him uncommon love and adoption from both Isuikwuato and Umunneochi at the grassroots know especially amongst the youths. Chief Amobi iyoung man whose innate " humility" despite his wealth and affluence knows no bounds. The pragmatic intellectually sound young man whose political renaissance has become a household brand in not just Isuikwuato/Umunneochi but Abia State. The political career of Amobi has continued to project with rocket speed and his massive influence in the APC has shown no stoppage sign. His 2019 aspiration can be described as a game changer in the Abia Political sphere due to so many reasons. When it comes to leadership Chief Amobi jauntily possesses three major characteristics that makes him a Golden Fish which: Youthful , Established employer of Labour and Leadership skilled and an unrivaled modest character. Amobi is a leader who sees himself as every other person. His commitment to the development of the party at all the ward levels has been very commendable and I can say confidently that he has paid his dues. He demonstrates a peripatetic attitude in search of progress for the sake of the welfare of people. Chief Amobi also possesses a highly distinguished human relation approach with the ability to keep in touch with people and relate with everyone around him on the same level regardless of age, sex, religious, tribal or economic differences despite is wealth and pedigree as if they are the same. He comes with a burning desire for humanitarian and public service. He is a man of high rectitude who would rather “teach you how to fish rather than give you fish” this is based his empowerment ideology. It is on record that Chief Amobi Godwin. Little wonder his name has become a recurring decimal in the political space of Abia. As he celebrates his 40th birthday today, the astute bussiness man and politician will again be on the frontline of discussions. However, Amobi and his associates will not roll out drums. There will be no event to celebrate and honour the young leader, seasoned business man and progressive arrowhead due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Amobi will today be in deep thoughts as regards the welfare of his people he will be neck-deep in brainstorming and problem solving. Today's celebrant encapsulates the time-tested philosophy of service premised on the evergreen populist welfare. It is driven by the permanent and non-negotiable devotion to the creed of progressive welfarism in a polity still struggling to resolve the multiple crises of nation-building. The successful employer of labour is always bubbling with energy, zeal, enthusiasm and optimism. This may have been bedrock of his successes in his chosen fields of endeavor. There is no evidence to show that Amobi Ogah was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Amobi ogah was unanimously bestowed with a chieftaincy title by the Ezes in the 24 Communities in Uturu as the AGU N’ECHE IBE 1 of Uturu Ancient Kingdom. He also received so many community service awards which include the Gold services award by Rotary Club International Etc. Today is to celebrate a man who has confronted many obstacles with uncanny boldness and bravery on the long, narrow and tortious path to limelight, and survived through the dint of hard work and divine grace. The consummate politician understands, not only the language of politics, which, is a great deal of struggle, competition and antagonism, but also the logic of power, which in his consistent view, is not served a la carte. , and reconciliation. He is ready to bow to superior arguments and has a listening ear. The celebrant will remain in the spotlight in a very long time to come and is indeed a man to watch , he is no doiubt a source of inspiration to the younger generation. His pedigree, sagacity, tenacity of purpose, hard work, resilience, courage and loyalty to worthy progressive will continue to serve as sources of inspiration to the younger generation in the vineyard of people-oriented, welfarist politics. Born in Onuaku Uturu, in Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, Amobi Ogah is married to his beautiful wife Lolo Onyekachukwu Maureen Ogah and they are blessed with four lovely children. As tributes pour in today for Amobi Ogah as he turns 40 it is rest assure that it is just beginning and the best is yet to come . Happy Birthday Amobi Ogah. Prophet Joshua Arogun who predicted the release of former Governor of Abia State , Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 general election has again insisted that Buhari’s successor is a former governor from the South who was held in prison and from all indications, he is referring to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Arogun , who is the General Overseer of Light of the World International Church, Lagos, stated this on Sunday during the church’s ministration service. He said most people’s hearts has become so hardened that they question prophecies. He also said his obligation is to release God’s revelations to him with no personal feelings attached to it . “Whenever I pray and get revelations on the polity of Nigeria, I find it difficult to tell my members because of it’s sensitivity. But because I am not accountable to humans but God , I have a duty to do as directed in spirit. Some months ago , I got a revelation that a former governor from the south who was in prison will be the next president of this country . I remember feeling very reluctant delivering that message but I had to do the will of the Father. While we were praying this morning, the same message came again. There is this connection I keep seeing: former governor- prison-president and he is from the South. “May God’s will be done and May His will be favourable to mankind.” He prayed Recall that on March 1, Prophet Joshua had made controversial revelations during his church service when he said , “I am a prophet of God and by the grace of God, anything the Lord tells us comes to pass because we hear from Him; we don’t hear from men. We don’t rely on public opinion for prophesies. We are not afraid of what people will say when such prophesies are given to us to tell the people. When we hear from the Lord, we tell people no matter how it is interpreted. It is left for people to take it. “Before the 2015 election, God told me that Buhari would win ; . And God told me a lot of things about Buhari. It is He that anointed him to be the president and there is no questions about that. No one can change it . The people can hate him: the people can reject him but God has ordained him, and there is something about God. When He says that you would be this, no man can change it. He does what pleases Him “I got a revelation about Nigeria’s political dynamics in the next general election. I saw a man in Prison and this man has been a former Governor from the South East taking over from President Buhari . There is absolutely nothing one can do about someone’s destiny especially when sanctioned by God. Everything that happens in life is for a reason. I saw renewed alliances among the political class and across the political parties and I saw this country reuniting more than it has ever done before . God loves Nigeria so much. Nigeria is a big country, and is blessed with human and natural resources.” He said. https://thenigeriadaily.com/2020/06/14/breaking-prophet-joshua-who-predicted-kalus-release-insists-he-is-the-next-president/

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congres (APC) Honourable Chibuike Jonas has condemned Ex- Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, accusing him of recruiting protesters in Abuja for #2,000. He dissociated the constituents of Abia North Senatorial Zone from the protesters under the aegis of Concerned Citizens of Abia North who were protesting outside the National Assembly on Tuesday asking the Senate President to declare vacant , the seat of the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, All Progressives Congress, APC, Abia North. Addressing newsmen in Lagos, the APC Stakeholder accused the protesters of being sponsored by a “loser who has failed to accept defeat since last election ” . He said Ohuabunwa’s main agenda is to paint “Kalu in bad light” before the world. The protest came on the day Federal High Court sitting in Lagos gave an order for immediate release of Kalu who has been in incarceration over an allegation by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission. Hon. Jonas questioned the identity of the protesters who claimed to have come from the five local government areas in Abia North, saying that the existing ban on inter state movement makes the entire claim irresponsible and unbelievable. He said that Kalu’s outstanding performance in his first year in Senate is far better than Ohuabunwa’s wasted years in the Senate. His words: ” The people of Abia North are happy with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s performance in the Senate. Even the few months he has been wrongly incarcerated, he has extended so much to Abians. Kalu’s constituency projects are laudable and many Abians would be embarrassed with Ohuabunwa’s desperation. “How can a man who was sacked for doing nothing for his constituents as Senator be recruiting people who doesn’t even know where Abia North is located, to protest against the Senator representing the zone? “Senator Ohuabunwa should swallow his pride and desist from unnecessary distractions because the people of Abia Abia North have great confidence in Kalu and that is why we elected him . Paying people #2,000 each to mount a protest is useless and waste of time. He warned that Ohuabunwa should rather channel his energy on things that would add value to his family since according to him, Ohuabunwa wasted the chance and mandate earlier given to him by the people of Abia North. https://thenigeriadaily.com/2020/06/02/apc-chieftain-condemns-sen-ohuabunwa-for-sponsoring-anti-kalu-protesters/

Nigeria's apex court has continued to receive commendations over its Friday's verdict that quashed the judgement that convicted and sentenced the Chief Whip of the Senate , Senator Orji Uzor. Latest among the commendations is from Eminent business tycoon and Philanthropist Chief Amobi Ogah. The Abia born politician described the judgement as historical which would further strengthen the nation's judicial system. "Yesterday's supreme judgement corrected a grave error that was initially committed by Court of Appeal and it has restored the confidence of Nigerians in our country's judiciary" said Amobi. The APC stalwart likened Dr. Kalu's five months imprisonment to the political travails passed through by the late Nelson Mandela. He said that Kalu's experience in prison is a preparation for a greater national assignment . In a statement he personally signed and issued to the press, Ameobi said Orji Kalu is a great leader whom he has worked closely with for years. He further described Senetor Kalu as his personal friend who he holds closely to his heart. The statement reads "The judgement of the Supreme Court has further rekindled the hope and trust of all Nigerians in its judiciary. I commend all the presiding judges who gave the landmark ruling. This will further strengthen our nation's court apparatuses. Nigerians who believe in justice and fairness have continued to express their joy and satisfaction over the ruling. Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu is the light of the Igbo nation and of course a leadership ICON in our great nation. He is the leader of the All Progressives Congress in the entire South East Nigeria, I am glad that the injustice matted on him has been corrected. Senator Orji Kalu’s travails is a political metamorphosis that will prepare him adequately for a greater further national assignment. Kalu's has been equipped with life lessons which came at no better time than now. Senator Kalu represents the face of Nigeria's unity, he's release will further make him continue he's delivery of quality representation to his people and all Nigerians." Amobi also commended the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth council and the Arewa Youth Consultative forum for their patriotic role which was nobly displayed which severed as catalyst for the release of the Senate Chief Whip from incarceration. Recall that the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos had on December 5, 2019 sentenced Kalu to 12 years’ imprisonment for N7.2 billion fraud and money laundering. The court convicted Kalu on all the 39 counts preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charge. Kalu was charged alongside the former director finance in the state, Jones Udeogo, and his company, Slok Nig. Ltd. While Kalu and his company were found guilty of all the 39 counts, Udeogo was convicted on 34 counts and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment. The court ordered that Slok Nigeria Limited be wound up and its assets forfeited to the federal government. However, the apex court, in a unanimous decision by a seven-man panel of Justices led by Justice Amina Augie, held that the Federal High Court in Lagos acted without jurisdiction when it convicted Kalu, his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited and former director of finance in Abia State, Jones Udeogu. The apex court held that trial Justice Mohammed Liman was no longer a judge of the Federal High Court as at the time he sat and delivered the judgement that convicted the defendants. According to the Supreme Court, Justice Liman, having been elevated to the Court of Appeal before then, lacked the powers to return to sit as a High Court Judge. It held that the Fiat that was issued to him by the Court of Appeal former President pursuant to section 396(7) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act was ultra vires and inconsistent with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. https://premiumreportersonline.com/2020/05/09/amobi-hails-court-judgementdescribes-kalus-incarceration-as-preparation-for-greater-task/

The Niger State Government has described as fake, the video circulating on the social media, which alleged that the Covid-19 patient in the state protested poor condition of the quarantine facilities. According to Dr M. M. Makusidi, the Niger state Commissioner for Health, the Niger State Task Force on COVID-19 after thorough investigation explained the video is an attempt to water down the frantic efforts the government is making towards combating the pandemic. According to the Task Force, “There are two toilet facilties, one for females and one for Males. The isloation centre has 24 hours electricity, having been connected to a 33KVA and standby generator . It explained further, “The relations of the patient did not want the woman to be quarantined. So, they started making trouble, demanding for her release. Out of mischief, they also went on to do a video in order to discredit the efforts of the state government. “However, in line with the guidelines by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, both the woman and her brothers have been quarantined.” The Task Force also reiterated that the woman who naturally should not have been in Niger State because of her condition, decided to leave Kano state on her own accord to seek medical attention in the state. “Her reason for coming to Niger State according to her was because of her inability to access health care services in Kano State. So, she decided to contravene Niger COVID-19 Order and came back to Suleja, Niger state, but for the alertness of good spirited individuals who raised an alarm ,she was immediately picked up. Her relations however followed from Suleja in protest down to Minna,” the Task Force cleared. It also pointed out that Niger state has well equipped Isolation/Quarantine Centres and those who are being quarantined are well Taken care of, describing those including media organisations who are circulating the purported video as mischief makers who would rather not see any good in what government is doing.
