Suddenly, my son became sick and no money at home. I took him to our family doctor and was diagnosed of anemia of which he needed immediate blood transfusion. To be candid, the doctor said my son has only seven days to live. My blood does not match his blood and I don't have money to buy blood.
Surprisingly, on the sixth day my husband arrived at the hospital looking good and richer. I care less about his appearance for my son was at the verge of death. Now, it is time for my husband to donate blood, his blood was screened and I asked the doctor to start transfusion immediately to save my son who has only a day to live. But, to my greatest surprise, my husband and the doctor was not doing anything positive as to save the life of this poor boy. Nobody want to tell me what was going on.

To crown it all, on the morning of the seventh day, my husband bought blood for transfusion but before the doctor and nurses could finish preparing for the transfusion, my son gave up the ghost. I lost consciousness and was revived. I could not believe it. How can I lost my only source of joy? I hold the doctor responsible for my son's death, until he was able to tell me that my husband tested HIV positive and his blood could not be used. I was dumbfounded and don't know what to do.

Sincerely speaking, I was contented when my husband was not rich. Now, he is rich, a HIV positive and I lost my only son too. What can I do? How will I survive this? Should I continue living with this man? Please advice me.

They did not know why I took them with me to my mother's house. My sister she said; this was a very devastating moment for us.
Children are always the casualties in every broken marriages. An adage says; "when two elephants are fighting, the grass will suffer". If a man and a woman are tied in an unhappy marriage, think about the children, they don't care whether dad sleeps in the sitting room and mom sleeps in bedroom, all they want is let the family be together.


2. The effect on you:- True love in case if don't know stays and lingers for a long time. My friend who divorced her husband cannot allow me to say bad things about her husband. She told me; can you belief I still love him inspite of his adulterous lifestyle. But I have endured enough, I couldn't continue with his betrayal. If para-venture I remarry, this type of a thing could happen again. Can I be able to love again, to me, all men are the same. This is always the emotional problems faced by the divorced person. That bond is still there. It lingers in your mind even after so many years. The funny thing there is that both the feeling of resentment and the feeling of affection will wrestling in your mind. I am writing this from my hospital bed. It happened last three days ago as I came back from work, my wife and my three children were nowhere to be found, I asked my neighbour and he told me that a man came and my wife and children packed their luggage and went with him. After describing the man, I found out that he was the Pastor of a prayer ministry where my wife used to go.
I never quarreled with my wife, anything she wants, I gave her, why all of a sudden she decided to leave me. As a man I am not suppose to cry, but am shedding tears while writing this. I contacted the General Overseer of that ministry, hoping to get a favourable response, but to my greatest surprise he told me to go and take back the bride price I paid on my wife. The ministry is at Ajao Estate here in Lagos.
I love my wife so much that I don't know if I can be able to forget her. My neighbour said that he wanted to tell me that the said pastor use to come almost everyday whenever I went to work and my sister narrated how she caught them red-handed in our matrimonial bed, which I waved aside.. Communication is an effective tool in every marriage. (John 3:19). We usually try to shield ourselves from disapproval and cannot always show our selfish desires and negative feelings. This can develop to communication shutdown in the family. You should not hide anything from your spouse, be open and come to light, you are one so let him/her know you inside out.

Communication breakdown can cause cold war in the family which is rampant in many families today. Some couples live under the same roof, share the same bed, honour invitations, pay visits to friends and even eat meals together yet, the free expression of feelings and cordial relationship that brings laughter, peace and sharing of ideas is completely absence. In some cases, the couple's conversation becomes short, straight to the point and only when necessary, most atimes when there is monetary needs or other things that needed to be carried out in the family.

The children from these type of home suffer the consequences of communication breakdown and interaction by the parents coupled with tension in the home. They already seen and read the hand writing on the wall that all is not well. When one parent is out the children feel free to chat with the one around, but when both are at home they withdraw immediately to avoid being seem as an issue for another commotion. When these children get tired of the situation, the prefer to hangout with friends rather than stay at home and most atimes the end result might be disastrous. Hope you can guess what I mean?
