Professor Akpan is a Yoruba Muslim masquerading as a SS man from Akwa Ibom .

Here are a few Igbo lame tactics that exposes their snake bellies while claiming to care and love the people of the SS.

1. They will tell you SS is not s tribe and so isn't deserving of a region of their own.

2. They will tell you an Igbo man single handedly created the same SS as a civilian advice to a military dictatorship headed by northern military officers. How is that possible ?

3. They will tell you crap about how they are our friends and allies when this is never the case as they are always in alignment with northern hawks to truncate/block or frustrate any attempt by the region for more resource control. If in doubt see how they did a walk out on Obasanjo's proposed 25% derivative to oil producing states and how one Wabara shamelessly stated more allocation to oil producing states won't benefit the SE region. They stood with the north during the offshore onshore dichotomy only until legal intervention by the supreme court saw to SS states benefiting from offshore oil revenue. States like Akwa Ibom won't have seen the unprecedented level of development we are witnessing owing that most of the oil and gas revenue generated from that state come from offshore platforms. Same situation played out again with Igbo legislators supporting the north to make rubbish of the PIB legislation.

4. Their candidate , Peter Obi has stated clearly that he isn't against the system in place .He even further stated that nothing is wrong with our flawed centrist system but only leadership vacuum. Is this someone that will then see to more state autonomy or even attempt to reform a broken and parasitic system ?

Some part of South South like Delta and Edo had actually tested Yoruba rule during the first republic.

It is still in history that Mid-west remain the only region created by people voting willingly to leave Western nigeria. The then Oba of Benin was at the forefront of the agitation due to the subjugation from Western Nigeria.

When they eventually got independence, an Igbo man Dennis Chukude Osadebay, a former NCNC leader in Aba in the current Abia state and a native of Asaba became the first premier of Midwest.

So in essence, NCNC headed by Azikiwe was in charge of governement for both the Eastern state( comprising of south south state of Cross river, AKS, RVS and Balyelsa) and Midwest state( comprising of Delta and Edo) before the military takeover and eventual civil war.

People voted willingly to have one party headed by an Igbo man heading the two regions after the mid-west threw away Western government rule.

Your discredited divide and rule only started shortly before, during and after the civil war.

You forgot the part where a Yoruba man moved the motion for plebiscite on the creation of mid western region which the majority Yoruba house in Ibadan quickly adopted and passed.

You forgot to tell us if this was the case in Enugu with every attempt by the so-called minorities shut down by the Igbo majority.

You also forgot to tell us that Osadebe adopted Itsekiri as his tribe .


Let me also remind you also the reason for the Igbo coup , the Igbo decree 34 and Biafra declaration was done to ensure the SS remains a part of the eastern region.

Can you refute any of these ?

SS is not SE.

The Igbo claim that the PDP has shortchanged them by not giving then the presidential ticket claiming that they had been voting PDP with nothing to show for it.

Peter Obi used same line to defect from the PDP when it became obvious the PDP wasn't open to zoning their ticket to the SE or any region for that matter.

Sensing he (or any Igbo candidate for that matter) did not stand a chance, Obi left the PDP for LP and from there the Igbo masses all aligned to LP.

It is important to state here that igbos only started voting PDP from 2003 when the option of Buhari came to light.

In 1999, the Igbo did not vote Obasanjo .

They only voted PDP at the presidential level from 2003 till 2019 because of the only other disastrous option in the form of Buhari.

As far as voting PDP goes, the SE has never been a PDP stronghold outside the presidential elections .

Even when GEJ lost, the Igbo politicians in the PDP were the first to decamp enmasse to the APC.

The SE region is pox marked with different assortment of political parities from ACN , APGA , PDP and APC which have come to occupy the various government lodges So claiming SE as a PDP is a ruse .

The SE was never a stronghold of the PDP outside presidential elections with a Buhari on the ballot.

Now that there is no Buhari contesting and a substantive Igbo candidate in the form of Obi, the SE have shown that their relationship with PDP was never entrenched.

So in all ramifications, the PDP was in the right to dismiss the Igbo demand to have the presidential ticket of the PDP zoned to them.

So two things to bear in mind here :

1.Buhari is no longer contesting

2. An Igbo candidate is on the ballot.

The SS (except Edo) has been the only consistent PDP zone in Nigeria.

In 1999, the SS overwhelmingly voted for Obasanjo while Igbos didn't .

In 1994, the same SS voted for MKO while the Igbos did not.

It was only when Buhari started disturbing our public space since 2003 that Igbos started voting for PDP.

Now with an Igbo tribal candidate you have pulled out of the PDP.

This is where you falsely assume that the SS will sheepishly follow you.

Lest I remind you that the PDP had its strongest structures in the SS which can be seen with the region having voted the most for PDP candidates as governors and the same region with the highest PDP elected officials..
