I had my interview this morning at the Lagos embassy.
My hub and I with 2 kids.
Scheduled time was 7.30am but we were interviewed around 8.45am.
Vo : Hello. May i have your passports
Us: Good morning and hub passed our passports
Vo: Where are you going?
Hub: Florida
Vo: Where in Florida?
Hub: Orlando.
Vo: Why are you going to the U.S?
Hub: For tourism and vacation.
Vo: How long are you staying?
Hub: 14 days
Vo: Madam what do you do?
Me: I work as Customer Relationship officer for ****
V.o: How long have you been working there?
Me: 8 years. Will be 9years in a few months.
 Vo: What do you do sir?
Hub: I'm a bla..bla... in bla bla.... organisation.
Vo: How long have you been there?
Hub: 10years.
V.o: Tell me about your job roles
Hub:  He thoroughly explained his job roles
Vo: Have you travelled before?
Hub: Yes Ghana for our honeymoon and my wife travelled to Dubai for vacation after that...though we were supposed to go together but Work schedule was tight.
Vo: How long have you been married?
Us: Told him
Vo: Do you have any other children apart from these?
Hub: No....my wife will kill me (we had joked about that...Was surprised he replied the VO)
Me: I can't kill you nah
V.o: Picking the white paper and circling our pick up location. Pick up in 3 working days...
Me: It dawned on me what was happening...I  said thank you. Have a nice day.
No single document was checked! Not even our old passports containing the little travel history.
Started following this thread as a silent reader in October. Saw the need to read up Part 1 & 2 in December (though I must say it wasn't easy...but it was worth it)
I could say I had grasped everything needed to get my visa...but erm...na God. I thank everyone that keeps this thread going for people like me

Thank you Sir, many times I just smirk when people refuse to do their findings and base their comments on hearsay. I know a lot of people who have benefited scholarships, housing and other things from the church but are forever ungrateful. The few grateful ones go on to help others in similar needs.
May God help us all.

yes , the church can do more.

There are a lot of scholarships, community assistance, free medical assistance , economical assistance and the likes that Living faith ( and other churches )had offer.
I had a lot of witness who can testify to this. My wife had ante -natal at Gilead for almost nothing.
Media is just blind to cover such and concentrating on the what-they-have-not-done that makes front pages.

The church should not be on a social drive frenzy as the world would imply, that is not its calling.

Those criticizing the church would have done terrible things . They have nothing to show that given the opportunity they will fill in the role.

Wow, this is my first time posting and you post got my attention. Also in this sort of dilema, had my baby in Texas and I didn't know i had to get all these zero balance letter I'm reading. About to renew my visa and have been calling the laboratory and paediatrician no luck o. Will be waiting to read how yours goes. [color=#000099][/color]

In 2015 Feb I put to birth in Houston at WHMC paid all my bills as per self pay $4000 for me and $362 for baby both well baby well mama 3 days stay.
I paid everything as per the offer before leaving the hospital.
Got my Zero balance letter and receipts for both accounts.
Then my visa expired in May 2015 and I renewed it in October 2015 via drop box.
Now went to renew Jan 2018 via drop box but passport returned and I am advised to schedule an interview ( yet to do that)
So I started arranging all necessary document's "every every " thinking i am good to go, untill a member of the house posted her transcript on how she was denied visa at her follow up interview because of itemized bill.
She came to see what it looked like and I put up what I thought it was only for me to see the real thing. Obviously I knew I didn't have it. So I called the hospital to send mine the reception referred me to hospital patients account services (which is in Georgia) trust me I called sharp sharp , only to be told that my sons account has $4230 debt on it.
Wow I screamed no way and asked why and how but the guy just said it's been there since 3 years.
I went gagas and called the main hospital line again requesting to speak to a financial counsellor (as I could not get hold of the person that signed and issued my initial letter)
I was again given a number for the person. I called and it went into voice mail and was given her email. I sent her a mail stating my findings and my need also attaching a copy of my Zero balance.
However I kept calling till she picked. My God she was so apologetic saying the person whose job it was to strick it off did no do so.
That she would send me updated receipts and zero balance letter and follow up till the $4230 on my sons account is struck off.
She has sent the above but no itemized bill that I would have to wait for a week before it comes.
As for the follow up interview I will not schedule until I get an all clear from the said account.

I believe a lot of us can learn from this
I will also keep you posted to the end.
