My name is Simbi. I am 33 years old, based in Lagos Nigeria and I have low vision. It has been 2 years since I lost my vision suddenly due to damage to my optic nerve. I am overcoming the mental, emotional and physical challenges with my condition and come to terms with the new reality

I am looking at connecting with persons with same condition and create a community where we can educate ourselves on how to adapt to the condition and be useful to ourselves and the community, as there is little to no medical assistance or knowledge about this condition.

NB: Low vision is a permanent visual impairment that is not fully correctable with glasses, contacts, or surgery and interferes with daily activities. It can involve a loss of sharpness, field of vision, contrast, or cause issues with light sensitivity or distorted vision. This condition can affect anyone and makes it difficult to perform tasks like reading, driving, and recognizing faces
