I run RefurbMe, a price comparison site, and we built a free calculator for people buying in the US and shipping to Nigeria through a forwarder. No signup.

Example with the October numbers: a $600 phone costs about $773 delivered with the cheapest of 4 forwarders, about $132 of it duty and VAT. The most expensive forwarder costs $81 more for the same parcel. Phones have to go by courier (UPS, DHL, FedEx) because postal services won't carry the battery.

Also on the page: the NCC's new device register. Unregistered phones won't be allowed on Nigerian networks, and the NCC hasn't published the fee or how individuals apply yet.
