Hello,
Softouch Solutions is a Software Development firm located in Abuja with a profile of apps deployed to several clients. We a re pleased to introduce our School Management System (SMS) to the school owners.
Our SMS takes over all the tasks involved in running a school (Eaarly Years, Primary and Secondary). It is online and very secured and reliable. The following are the features of our solution:
a) It has 3 dashboards--for Admin (school owners), for teachers and for Students/parents). All dashboards are customised to display contents related to the current user
b) It adapts to all screen sizes (phone, tablet, desktop etc)
c) Admins can monitor all activities, get reports, control school accounts and bills. Parents can monitor the progress of their kids. Students can get all assignments via the system and submit their assignments. Teacher can mark students assignments and resend back to students. Our system allows for seamless communications
d) Our SMS is graphical. All reports are presented in charts, allowing for users to easily read reports. Parents can easily know when their kids have been constantly absent from school etc.

Hello,
I am editing the css file in a wordpress folder, but the changes are not reflecting when I refreshed the browser. I have tried clearing the browser's cache (Ctrl+F5) many times to no avail. Whenever I open the file, I see the changes, but when I use Inspect Element on the browser, it shows old values.
What else can I try? Thank you.

Thank you all for all your helps. Maybe I should explain what I've been able to do or express my challenge differently. First, I want remind you again that am totally new to Wordpress, though I've been developing using other platforms before now.

After installing wordpress, whenever I visit localhost/wordpress on the browser, I get that default home page with flower in a vase. Now, I have a different theme which I wanted to use to replace the default. I have downloaded the theme from themeforest. But from a tutorial I read, I was made to know to customize a theme, I have to access it on the browser via localhost/NameOfWeb/wp-admin URL, which I could not achieve, cos the downloaded theme do not have that wp-admin folder.

But from my findings, it is only the Wordpress folder that can have that folder. So, I concluded I'll have to copy the contents of the downloaded theme onto a copy of the wordpress folder, resident in the htdocs folders and rename the folder to NameOfWeb (which I have done), and then I concluded I'll use the same wp-admin folder for all my sites (please correct me if am wrong).

My challenge now is primarily how do I connect my site to the database, do I have to make changes to the database created when installing wordpress and what changes are these, what are the things I'll upload to the remote location? Will everything go inside the public_html folder?

Please assist. I appreciate. Thank you.

Bolaji21:
access your wp-admin via localhost/nameOfWeb/wp-admin, and goto appearance > themes...

The theme downloaded is a wordpress theme from themeforest.net. I can't access localhost/nameOfWeb/wp-admin on the browser, because the wp-admin is not in the downloaded theme. The only one I could access is localhost/wordpress/wp-admin which is giving me the default settings.

snrguy5:
Chat me up using the number on my signature, I am the CEO of Bloggers Nigeria
https://bloggersng.com

Thank you. I can't find any number on your signature. I have checked the Contact us page.

resosdigital:
Lol. The WP-admin is a wordpress core and not part of any theme. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. WP-admin is a folder inside the wordpress you downloaded and not part of the theme

Ok. So how do I make use of the theme I downloaded?

Ynix:
Chat me up via https///+2348089456258

Ok, thanks.

Hello people,
Am new to wordpress. I have this small wordpress project am handling. I downloaded a theme from themeforest.net. I have also installed Wordpress on the local PC. In another tutorial that I downloaded, I was made to know if I want to access the theme on the dashboard, I'll have to log in using localhost/NameOfWeb/wp-admin. But there is no wp-admin in the theme I have downloaded from themeforest. I have tried to download another theme, and that folder is also missing in the new download.

As a result, I could not even make use of the theme by using Appearance > Theme menu.

Please help on what to do...

I'll appreciate.

Join the bandwagon. Lots of folks already registering via our online portal to get enrolled for the 9-month IJMB programme that qualifies them to gain admission into the university without the JAMB-featured frustrations. Don't be left out! Register NOW!

Statistics derived from this year JAMB result indicates that 72.2% of those who took the JAMB exam scored Below 50% and a number of 49,245 UTME results were withheld. This has made JAMB a nightmare to the candidates who wrote the exams. Don't give JAMB access to mare your dreams of being a university student. Enroll for IJMB today at ijmbpass.com.ng!

Did you sit for the last JAMB exam? Have you checked your result and found you did not do very well? Maybe yes, and this is already giving you bad days. Sorry about that though. I have a good news for you! A better alternative is here to remedy the unfairness of JAMB.

IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) is an Advanced Level (A'level) nine months federal government programme established in 1976 by the Interim Common Services Agency (ICSA). IJMB was setup to serve as an alternative mode of gaining admission into tertiary institutions into 200 level via Direct Entry (D.E) after a 9-month intensive, practical training, and majority of Nigerian universities recognize the IJMB result as a criteria for gaining university admission.

IJMB Pass affiliates with IJMB Pass, and have served as agent to the IJMB for years with success stories to show. When you register with IJMB Pass, we ensure that:

1. You receive your 9-months anywhere in the country.
2. You secure an admission into 200 Level of any choice university
3. You really have nothing to loose. After 9-month, you gain admission into 200-Level, and still catch up with your mates.

What then are you waiting for? Visit ijmbpass.com.ng for more information on how to register, NOW!

Don't be left out. Enough of JAMB unkindness. Get admission into the University the easy way. IJMB offers you an admission into 200level of any university with a clear, sure process after a 9-month intensive training. Register now at ijmbpass.com.ng!
