ComputersLenovo’s Pro Series Includes A Virtual Reality Variant by simplemtray(op): 8:55am On Feb 07, 2017
I'm here again with updates.
The new series from Lenovo can create virtual reality.
Lenovo’s Pro series includes a Virtual Reality variant
FEB 07, 2017by MATT NDUin LENOVO
Lenovo knows that it’s not enough to build laptops that support virtual reality — you need laptops that can create virtual reality, too. To that end, it’s releasing a trio of pro workstations headlined by one that’s primed for VR production. The 17-inch ThinkPad P71 is certified as VR-ready by HTC, NVIDIA and Oculus, and has the power to back it up: you’ll find both a mobile Xeon E3 processor and up to Quadro P5000 workstation graphics. Support for up to 64GB of RAM and four storage devices (across both conventional and solid-state drives) helps, too. You can also expect Thunderbolt 3 ports to plug in your displays and docks, while there’s an optional 4K display for crisper non-VR visuals.

PhonesWhat Is Your 4G Experience? by simplemtray(op): 9:03pm On Nov 02, 2016
As our Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are upgrading and updating their network, I strongly believe that there will be flaws or great experience. Which ever one you are experiencing, I want us to share it here, and determine which of them is providing the fastest 4G service and areas supported most.

As for me at University of Lagos (UNILAG), I am experiencing great speed from MTN. Make I know if I go kuku carry my office go UNILAG permanently.

If your comment is comprehensive enough, it will be published on http://techgyst.com

Thank you.

Out of say 100 people, only 2 or 3 use these features, feel free to carry a mini research by yourself. Ask friends and family or even schoolmates and colleagues at work.

DrayZee:
He must be one of those whose only use for a phone is Facebook and Google.
Ironically, his website appears to be tech related.
I am glad you saw that for yourself. Out of the over 500 people you know, how many of them use the OTG, if you read the full post, you would have seen other features that people don't use but pay for. Have you ever used the NFC on your android phone?
PhonesAndroid Features We Never Use But Pay Dearly For by simplemtray(op): 1:59pm On Sep 30, 2016
What makes a phone very expensive? Have you ever thought of this? Apart from the Camera, battery capacity, screen size, speakers, processor, RAM size, and storage capacity, what else makes my phone expensive? Let’s keep this short.

Many users buy phones because they are the latest, their friends own them, we want to get the new Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Alcatel, and the likes of it, not minding what we ever need them for.

Here is a list of features you pay for but don’t ever use. Comment below if we missed some.

NFC

You probably don’t know it means Near Field Communicator, relatively more secure than the Bluetooth of your phone. Outside this country, people buy phones with this feature, it aids payment for goods, serves as security smart cards, and for sharing and transferring of contacts, music, etc. On this part of the world, we don’t even know it exists neither do we use it for file transfer. Isn’t it unwise to go for NFC capable phones?

USB OTG
This means USB on-the-go. A feature that allows you connect your flash drive, mouse, keyboard, thumb print scanner, printer and others to your phone or device. For crying out loud, you don’t even know it exists, yet you pay for it – oh my. You have a timeline to watch and not time to connect some mouse and keyboard to your phone, or do you?

ComputersLearn How To Manage Your Weak Battery In Three Steps by simplemtray(op): 8:24am On Aug 13, 2016
The day I discovered this, I didn’t have the
intention of saving battery, I just wanted to reduce
my CPU temperature. I noticed that my CPU over
heats so I searched for a solution. It resulted to
the discovery of my battery’s solution.
Go to control panel, and then locate power
options.
Another way to get to power options is by right
clicking on your battery icon at the bottom of
your taskbar then choosing power options.
In power options, select “Power Saver” then at the
right, locate “Change plan setting” and click on it.
You will see few options at this level e.g. “Turn of
Display”, “Put the computer to sleep”.
We will tamper/play with/alter “On battery”
options only.
For “turn off display”, choose 2 minutes,
For “Put the computer to sleep”, choose 10
minutes, in the drop down and for plan brightness,
move the slider to the extreme left.
To advance, click “change advanced power
settings” skip everything and go to processor
management.

Fake memory cards are counterfeit or inferior
products, usually referred to as clones. They usually come with the
same name as the original memory card/flash disks but their performances are very poor and usually lead to data loss.
