FamilyGay and Lesbian Couples Can Now Marry in the UK. Blessing or Curse? by sin(op): 12:12am On Dec 06, 2005
I know this topic might have been discussed in the past but i cant help but bring it back today. this is because from today, gay or lesbian couples in the UK can have a civil ceremony and become man and wife (oh sorry) husband and husband or man and man or WIFE AND WIFE. OR MR AND MR. OR MRS AND MRS.... am confused............

when i told one of my geeees about this, he hallowed and said 'see kpali' that means instead of waiting for a girl to become available for arrengee, 'na to just find another guy, talk man to man, do arrangee and kpali don show be that' i laughed out loud and said Naijaaaaaaaa.

i am a bit worried bout this trend the Uk has bucked because am afriad bout what will happen to the family institution. Is civilization as we know it being re-written? what happens to the dual family role of procreation and socialisation if future generation of those living in the UK decide to go gay? what happens to the family as we know it today? i dont begrudge two people of the same sex who wants to f**k each other from doing so, but getting married, i think is taking it a bit far. i dont want to bring religion into this discussion but as a sociologist am realy worried that the role of the family as we know it is being tampered with and society will be worst for it.
what happens if this trend is wholly copied byu governments in africa and the developing world? I dont know what u think out there but this is taking it a bit far.

I need intelligent and well researched response to this issue and not just a blab about religion etc. lets discuss how this latest trend affectb the family as we know it today

Some have argued that there are some benefit one can derive from this new legislation as it affects people residing in the UK and i think i agree. Anyway, if u live in the UK and want to find out how u can benefit from this system, write me a personal email and i will let u know

PoliticsThird Term for Nigerian Politicians? Laughable by sin(op): 2:22pm On Nov 30, 2005
Is it very correct that Nigerian lawmakers are planning to extend the tenure of elected officials to a third term?
if this is correct then it is indeed crazy. How can u shift the goal post in the middle of a football match or change rules of a game in the middle of that game. These politicians are thives and they apparently have not had enough to feed their glutony.

We have become a laughing stock in the commitee of nations making even so called banana republic cring with shame.

What have these PoliTRICKcians done to deserve a third term? they seem to have forgotten what happened to the regimes of Samuel Doe, charlse taylor and Saddam. What can nigerians do to stop this charade?
Nigeria we hail thee!!!!!!!!!!

RomanceRe: Who is a Playa/Player? by sin(m): 9:37pm On Nov 29, 2005
A player is who u make him to be.
can u call a little flirting here and a little patting there playing?
the way the modern woman defines this word would make our fore fathers cring from thier graves. Our fore fathers had one, two and ten wives with the support and outright motivation from our mothers, yet they were not called players. our modern girls cannot claim to be better than our mothers and grandmothers, ye, they cant wait to call brothers players as if the word is going outta fashion
Listen to me and listen good, trying to attract the opposite sex is a habit indulged in by all living species. Male, female, he goats and she goats. calling it playing, cheapens this age old tradition. and limiting this act to a only male make u sound like some women liberator. Come to think of it, if a girl has everything her man wants or if a man satisfies his woman completely, why should he/she, using the word of the authour 'play'?
change the word girl, its just having a little fun on the side

[b]I have been in London for a while and i have tried to meet niaja girls so that we can build friendship and maybe take it from there. The problem is the few ones i have ran into are simply not interested in dating another black man but freaked out white men. this is because most of them believe they can get more material benefits from this relationships. just like someone told me 'i no come look queen eyes.
I am not saying all niaja girls in london are such minded but am asking, where is that old thing called love?
i realy need to meet a nigerian girl in London who can pick my memory and hold me in an interesting conversation.
