*THE REJOINDER:*

*OAU: Suspected cultists brutalized a part 2 student of the institution without swift action of justice by the management.*

The attention of the Leadership of Adekunle Fajuyi Hall has been drawn to a a wishy-washy conglomeration of letters which its inexperienced writer will view as an intelligent write up and which perceptive minds can decipher to be nothing but pure propaganda. Naturally, the write up should be ignored, but as a council that is committed to the welfare of all Fajuyians, the proper dissemination of information and the height of accountability, we have deemed it fit to dignify the assemblage of words and punctuations written by the nameless fellow with a reply.

*FACT 1:*

It is pertinent that no cult group whatsoever will ever take a student to a known facility of the Union to manhandle such a student. What's more, no cult group will ever show face in Adekunle Fajuyi Hall of Great IFE and get away with it. It therefore surprised us to see someone who stole the clothes of his roommate accusing those who moderated him of cultism.

*FACT 2:*

The culprit had initially been informed of the allegations against him and invited to the secretariat, an invitation which he refused to honor, citing a busy schedule as his reason for not attending. The Deputy CSO of the security committee and the Chief Security Officer along with other members of the committee were then asked by the culprit to come down to the faculty of agriculture to come get him. This they did. When they got there, he was brought to Fajuyi Hall, and as usual, the entourage of security committee members and the culprit was accompanied by Fajuyians of which some had initially accused this same fellow of theft of their properties.

*FACT 3:*

He was asked to take off his hoodie for the party making the complaint to point out his identification mark. While this was going on, another security committee member was going through his phone at which point some pictures were seen on his phone with captions like “BUCCANEER FOREVER, PROUDLY BUCCANEER". He refused. He was asked again to take off the hoodie and again he refused in a rather defiant manner. At this point, the C.S.O directed a member of the committee to take off the hoodie from him and a question was thrown to him on whether he belongs to any group. *The moment the order was given and the question was asked, he grabbed a hammer in the secretariat which was borrowed to close down a toilet and attempted to use it on one of the security committee members.* However, he was quickly disarmed and in the heat of the moment he was hit. At this point, the CSO advised him to cooperate with the moderation and promptly answer questions, to which he began to rave and rant, threatening that his parents were rich and they would all be dealt with. *He further stated that even though he had taken the hoodie, his parents would buy it back.*

*FACT 4:*

A Fajuyian then said “imagine cultists on Great IFE soil" and immediately he told the guy that he would “fall". The statement infuriated security members and he was threatened after which he attempted to bolt, which was a colossal error. Fajuyians who were present blocked him from running and he picked up a mop stick and swung it around wildly. The security committee had a difficult time controlling the mob of angry Fajuyians and in the ensuing commotion, he broke the mop stick on the head of one of the security committee members.

*FACT 5:*

Was he beaten? Yes he was. The moment he moved from simply assaulting the committee members with threats to battering them, he was immediately surrounded by Fajuyians and yes he was beaten, disarmed and immobilized. Some Fajuyians then stated that he had been terrorizing the campus with threats of violence and saying that his parents were influential and as such nothing would happen to him. He uttered some insults and this time the mob was infuriated again and descended on him. The CSO took a lot of time to restore order. After which he was promptly flogged and a call was put through to the school CSO. He pleaded that the issue should not be escalated and that he would give the names of his fellow cult members by the following day. When he came back, he had deleted the pictures, changed his password and edited his chats. This led to the CSO to order his flogging to which reason he is believed to have written this write up.
