Coogar knew Rooney played in midfield against Villa and Stoke. He knew too Rooney played in the wing in Madrid. He knew he Rooney was benched in Old Trafford. And later used in midfield.

All these came within a short period from February to April.

The issue is not about 22 matches Rooney started that seasons. A season last 9 months. It was about specific period towards the end of the season. Mid February to Mid April. That was when the issues came up.
