The driver contacted him. How come only his item got missing. There’s something the driver is yet to tell him.Omicpet dispatched the items as instructed by seller. Seller stated that buyer never insisted on home delivery. From the breakdown, the delivery guy received 3k and out of that, 1500 was for waybill as he stated. He did his job and sent out the item based on the amount he received. I still insist he should hold the driver responsible for not protecting an item in his custody.

It's obvious, even to a slowpoke, that the seller has explanations to make viz a viz delivery agreement with the seller and amount he received for delivery.

That said, your explanation clearly indicates that you do not know the description and scope of the service you claim you render.

Get this very clear, your responsibility does not end when you hand over package to driver and establish communication between driver and recepient.
You (or ur staff, on your behalf) assigned the role of taking the package to Ibadan to the driver. you paid him and this exactly is why you're to be held responsible.
Like you rightly pointed out, "directive was to Ibadan", that was what you were paid for and that didn't happen.
The job given to you was to get the package to Ibadan where the recepient will receive it but because you do not have the resources to convey it to destination, you paid a driver to do that (on your behalf) and any ish emanating from the driver would definitely end on your desk.
It wasn't the recepient who had a deal with the driver, neither was it even the seller. It was you.
The seller's case is different.
