3 Nigerian startups to watch out for come 2022

The list of Nigerian startups to watch out for in 2022 (and possibly this decade). It comprises.

1. Eden
Eden is a concierge service for homes. Not a typical tech startup, but it's "a tech-enabled, human-powered service that takes over the running of your home so you can focus on the things that truly matter in life."
In short, as one techpreneur told me, "Eden is the affordable Quintessentially made for Africans, by Africans."
Eden was co-founded in 2019 by a co-founder of Andela—Nadayar Enegesi (CEO), and two of his other former Andela colleagues—Prosper Otemuyiwa (CTO) and Silm Momoh (Product Lead).

2. Sit.ng
Sit.ng is an e-learning platform that offers digital skills training on Web Development, Graphics Design, Digital Marketing, Mobile Application Development, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Android Application Development, IOS Application Development, etc.
Sit.ng will be officially launched in January 2022. Sit.ng have so many features aside being an e-learning platform. Sit.ng scholarship and loan features will immeasurably help students across the country.

3. uLesson
When a serial entrepreneur like Sim Shagaya, founder of DealDey and Konga, launches a new venture, the techosystem would definitely be watching out for it.
Set to be officially launched in February 2020, uLesson had secured $3.1 million (₦1.1 billion) seed funding from TLcom Capital last year November.
uLesson platform would allow learners, mostly secondary school students, to experience personalized learning, take mock tests, and assess their performance and learning progress with uLesson detailed analysis dashboard.
The Jos-based startup is the pageant everyone is checking out in the edtech sector. Not only because Sim is the chaperone, but also because of its model.
Science/TechnologySit.ng: The Nigerian Technology Firm That Makes Learning Easy! by Sitproject(op): 11:41am On Nov 24, 2021
Sit.ng: The Nigerian Technology firm that makes learning easy!

Whether online education or traditional form of education, one thing is certain; the benefits of education can never be over emphasized. How successful one intends to become, the length one intends to go, evolves on their willingness to learn new things, acquire new skills and adapt in today’s fast evolving World. No doubt, education is one of the fundamental factors for economic growth. For a country to achieve sustainable development, there is high need to invest in its human capital development.
“The idea for Softicu Institute of Technology came after several direct involvement in physical trainings; some as attendee, while some as host/organizer. I discovered physical trainings even though great, but had their limitations and constraints.
From the host/organizer perspective, I have experienced lots of discouragement and feel that so many young Nigerians do not want to utilize thousands of opportunity in the technology world, but then; after organizing or hosting ICT training both paid and free, I came to realize from the reports that most times, the training time, fee and locations doesn't suit these students and so they fail to attend.
Learning is a continuous process, there lots of Leadership and personal development training and course, I would love to attend or have some times, miss it because of clash with work and other schedules, From an attendee perspective, I would say it was usually expensive for me and also inconvenient. Traveling to big cities like Lagos State, Abuja or Port Harcourt, attending physical trainings even within my city could be quite expensive and somewhat inconvenient, and also, the scheduling may not be convenient for me.
With these difficulties explained above, I saw ELearning as a way out. Thus, I started resorting to online training through various top global elearning providers like Alison.com, Udemy.com and Lynda.com. Then also, I started working on an ELearning project that can enable people take courses online, and still be able to engage with their instructor(s), instead of traveling or going far for it, and this Softicu Institute of Technology offers.
Sit.ng is not just an ELearning portal, the technology also features an scholarship offers, student loan, ELearning community where candidates taking courses/training online can engage with their instructors, or other co-candidates in the community.Sit.ng is an innovative e-learning portal founded by a Nigerian Technology firm, Softicu Technology with Lucky Daniel as the Chief Executive Officer and founder.
Education equips the people, who in return contribute to the development of the economy. In the case of Sit.ng, if more people are equipped with different business skills, or professional skills, including softskills, they can startup new businesses, and become proficient in those businesses with the right training, which in return will contribute immensely to the country’s GDP. One great opportunity for Softicu Institute of Technology in the Nigeria market is that we are localizing contents, yes, and that is key.
