European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Gary Linekar: Match Of The Day Boycotted By Pundits, Commentators, by Sizwezi: 3:36pm On Mar 11, 2023
[quote author=budaatum post=121642965]A BBC spokesperson said on Friday night: “We understand their position and we have decided that the programme will focus on match action without studio presentation or punditry.”

The row was sparked by his response on Twitter to a Home Office video in which home secretary Suella Braverman unveiled plans to stop people crossing the Channel on small boats.

The greatest man to ever play football, Lionel Messi made the biggest individual donation to Turkey and Syria following the earthquake disaster.

He made a donation of 3.5 million euros to the stricken nations.

The Lord of the pitch, unlike some, doesn't like advertising his deeds, but details about this kind gesture was revealed by authorities in charge.

Messi has never called himself the greatest unlike some, because humility is very key. He doesn't get bitter if others shine, and he doesn't steal people's moments, such as goals.

Messi remains in a world of his own, having won the world cup both as a youth and senior player, winning the best world cup player both as a youth and a senior player
He, unlike the social media goat, has won the olympics too.. This shows he has completed everything, from youth to adult.

Yet he remains humble.

Messi's kind gesture will go a long way to alleviate the sufferings of the affected victims, especially Syrians, since USA has continued to sanction them and arm rebels just because they refused American regime change.

Thank you Messi.. God bless you.
After you, na you.
Na u be the lord of football..The others na ur angels.. Ur messengers. If dem try drag ur title, dem go turn fallen angels.

SportsRe: “Liars, You Lie”: Benzema Takes A Dig At FIFA After Messi Was Named Best Player by Sizwezi: 8:19pm On Feb 28, 2023
damilola4162:
Karim Benzema has taken swipe at FIFA describing them as liars after Lionel Messi was was named the 2022 best player at The Best Awards in Paris, France, Newspremises reports.

Lionel Messi beat his Paris Saint-Germain, teammate Kylian and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema to win the award for the second time.

And Benzema feels the award was given to the wrong person following his stellar season with Real Madrid in 2022, including winning the La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles, finishing the year as the top scorer.

Reacting after the ceremony, Benzema posted a video of a man saying what is translated as 'Good night, liars, you lie' to his Instagram story.

The 34-year-old Frenchman missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup after suffering an injury weeks before the tournament in Qatar.

Although, he could have returned to the team before the final against Argentina, Benzema decided to stay at home amid rumoured fallout with coach, Didier Deschamps.

He however, announced his retirement from international football after the 2022 World Cup tournament.

Meanwhile, Messi shone at the competition, winning the best player award as Argentina were crowned champions.

Mbappe finished the World Cup as top scorer with seven goals.
