nkemjacob2: One of the major reasons people came out to vote in mass was because there was an assurance that result will be transmitted electronically to aid transparency. But unfortunately we found the opposite and following tribunal dismissal.
I ask with all this shinanigans can Nigeria still come out to vote trusting INEC?
As for me I am done. Come out again ? Never ! Good and Sane people won’t even try it. If not because voters card can be used as means of identification, burning it would have been the best option ! |

In the end, all man to his choice. I will also say this again, the money was / is a huge factor but denying the fact that Ronaldo’s presence also influenced some of these players, means you are just one confirmed hater and there’s nothing your hate can do to change it ! 😛

Politics › Re: What An Ikwerre Man Said About Ikwerres, Igbos And History by Sizwezi: 2:47pm On Aug 15, 2023 |
Igboid: When you lose a war you are usually at a weak position. Germany lost huge hectares of land to Poland after losing second world war, it's even worst in Germany case because the native Germans in those lands were forced to leave their ancestral homes and migrate back to lands in modern day Germany under USSR support of Poland. Ikwerre feared similar fate if they retained their Igbo tag, with Ijaws well poised to strike and appropriate Ikwerre lands to themselves with full support of the Hausa-Fulanis and Yoruba controlled Igbophobic FG of post civil war era. This was why they rushed and denounced attachment to Igbos and were able to save their lands, even winning the Ijaws in supreme Court over PH ownership in immediate post civil era. That wouldn't have been possible If they remained proudly Igbo. Every rational Igbo that understands history appreciate why Ikwerre had to play Igbo denial game they played in old Rivers state post civil war. The Igbophobic Hausa Fulani and Yoruba Government of the day would have thwarted justice, if Ikwerre remained proudly Igbo.
You only have to Look at how Ututu people in Arochukwu LGA lost half of their lands immediately after the civil war to people from Odukpani LGA cross River that they accomodated as customary tenants in their lands in pre colonial era. If Ututu were not Igbo, that wouldn't have happened. Losing a war comes with a price and Ikwerre refused to pay that price by cunningly severing ties with Igbo, it's understandable.
My grouse with them is that the post civil war era is gone, Igbos are no longer so weak and the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba partners are no longer wielding military veto power. Zik and Ukiwe have helped them cage Ijaw in Bayelsa, so why then does Ikwerre people still see the need to continue the Igbo denial game? It hasn't helped Odili( I know he is Ndoni but it's same game they are all playing), it hasn't helped Amaechi, it hasn't helped Wike, and it will never help any of them at the federal level.
The Ijaw threat has been eliminated by pinning them in Bayelsa, the Ikwerre are in full control of PH like they always wanted, the country is under civil rule so the Hausa-Fulanis and Yoruba partners can't wield big veto power and gift their(Ikwerre) lands to their Ijaw partners, as punitive measures against Ndiigbo and reward to their Ijaw partners, without it being challenged fully in supreme court. The Ikwerre current posture is nolonger acceptable to SEners, the general and growing consensus in SE today is that Ikwerre are expandable to our future endeavors and shouldn't be paid attention anymore. There is a limit of humiliation and rejection a people can accept before they moved on. Germany left their territories in Poland and even Tyriol in Italy, yet they are the biggest economy in Europe today. None of those abandoned Germanic territories in Austria, Lichtenstein, Italy (Tyriol), even German speaking parts of Switzerland are as developed and advanced as Germany today.
So yes, Ndiigbo are more than ready and capable of leaving Ikwerre behind and march on to our future. While we rue the loss of those territories and brothers who have turned enemies eager to team up with our enemies to cajole and ridicule us, we also appreciate the fact that what we have in SE is greater than whatever we could have lost in those other places. In Igbo language, we say "Nkemjika" ! As e suppose be! 💯 |

Haters can deny the influence he’s had on this Saudi project all they want, it wouldn’t still change the fact that his presence in the league also gave rise to the move of all these players you now see going there. The money being paid ? It’s also a huge factor!
You think if they had started with Benzema , Firminho or Neves, you will have all these players going there ? Or you would have sports stations jostling for rights to air ? Lol.
If Messi had joined Ronaldo in Saudi, Guess what ? The number of players you see there would be double of what you have now. So make una rest .
Even in the US, stars of other sports went to watch his match, if it was only Busquet you think they would have gone to watch ?
Players have this influence, some just happen to have it more !
7 years in Europe for those players btw 31 -35 is enough to still give more.
These days no matter how good your product is, organizations still look for influencers, still do adverts just to promote it.
CR7’s success has always been a hard pill for many of you to swallow since 05/06, so it’s nothing new. Una go dey alright. |

Okealaaye: Fruitless exertions that will avail nix! Obi's political career is as dead as dodo and he's to blame. You don't plant coconut and hope to harvest palm fruits. He could have stayed on in the PDP and agree to be Atiku running mate. Or, what governance experience did he acquire between 2019 and 2023 that he should think that he's bigger than his former principal? National politics is far higher than Anambra politics. That's the basic truth Obi's boastful kinsmen failed to tell him. How would anyone from a fractioned political party expect to defeat another who had been building nationwide bridges since 1993? A man who didn't ask for contracts and other perquisites from the government he helped to install. How many politicians could have done that? Obi's time has faded with the February 29th sunset, and no amount of birthday celebrations, hospital and IDP camp visitations can revive it. If only because when the sun rises it doesn't look back until it fulfills its daily course. There are countless Igbo politicians like Moghalu, Onu, Umahi and Soludo who are miles away from Obi in competency, etc. who can easily be BETTER Nigeria's president! So, why the fixation on Peter Obi, a man who can in no way light a candle to any of those great men? Both you and those that liked your post go cry tire 😅😂🤣. They allowed you write but hid their face’s behind the likes 😂. Ndi ifele ! |
