Just like the way a cocaine addict will find a million reasons to justify his addiction, same way meat eaters are looking for silly excuses to feed their addiction! I don't expect 20 % of Nigerians to be vegetarians, but come on, I can't even find one person on nairaland! This tells me a lot! Why do you think the whites are better than us? Because the are very open minded more exposed and educated. It's really a silly excuse that you can't eat healthy because of your stupid addiction to suya, pepper soup and nkwobi.... very lame. Look at how Nigerians die at early age of 40 - 50, and in western world's you see grannies of 85 years getting married again. An average rich onitsha business man in Naija do not even know what it means to a vacation for 2 weeks and rest the body or an average house wife to know the benefits of exercise... Naija I weep for thee!!!!!
White people didn't invent plant-based lifestyles though. In Ancient Egypt most of the people lived, mainly, on grains. The Mayans and other ancient Amerindians ate mostly plants. It even makes more sense for us in a tropical climate, where plant foods grow all year round, to be vegan! I wonder why people oppose it so much smh

Nice to know that you are a vegetarian but i cannot see reason(s) to why you are castigating folks that enjoy eating animal products. You choose to be a vegetarian good for you. Moreover i have come across quite a handful of vegans and i must confess that they look quite lethargic and scrawny.
I tried going for a month without consuming animal products but i just knew that this what not meant for me, that is not to say i overindulge. I consume any healthy kind of food in moderate proportions. I love fruits and vegetables to pieces and lastly i exercise like no man's bizness.
If you feel castigated perhaps it's because you are causing the pain and suffering of innocent animals for no reason other than the taste. Maybe, deep down you are ashamed of that.

Telling a lion to eat only grass...fruits only dey somehow.

I have a friend who is a veg...looks healthy.
We are not lions. If you think you're like a lion, go and catch and animal, tear it's flesh apart with your bare hands then sink your teeth into its raw flesh (if you can), the way lion does. Lol, lion indeed.

Hey! I'm vegan too, living in Nigeria! I think there are more of us than it seems, just hard to come across. And it's really easy to be vegan in Nigeria, most of our food you can prepare without any animal products.
