I dnt think d delay is in any way related to finance.was it nt recently d govt released fund to d military.wic oda fund could they need to delay d list.i think,d delay could b on hw to resolves d issue of shortage of candidates frm sm state.u knw,sm state has less no of candidates expected.both frm dssc n ssc.they r thinking of using dssc or ssc to make up d no of d required candidates frm d state dt has less candidates each.forexample,ebonyi dt has 4 candidates left in ssc,while in their dssc has 9 candidates left.sm wil b taken to complete d oda.n nt to used d state dt has surplus candidates to make it up.dat is wot is on ground now.bt d list wil definitely cum out on/b4 saturday dz week.

The Nigerian Army will expand its current
size of just over 100,000 to 209,000 in the next 8 yrs, Chief
of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur
Buratai announced during a speech at the
National Defence College on 13 January.
As part of this expansion plan, a new 8th
Division has already been established in
northeast Nigeria, the 6th Division will be
established in the South-South region,
which covers the Niger Delta, and 12,000
personnel will be recruited in 2016, Lt Gen
Buratai said.
"We will continue the phased
implementation of our order of battle in
order to enhance our posture to adequately
respond to threats. As you are aware, 8th
Division has just been established in the
northeast and 6th Division will follow shortly
in the South-South," he said. "These
expansions will go hand-in-hand with
doctrinal review and the development of
new strategies to perform our constitutional
role."
He said that the Nigerian Army currently has
over 6,000 officers and 96,000 soldiers and
that the 'Order of Battle 2010' plan called for
this to grow to 18,966 officers and more
than 190,000 soldiers.

Thanks for the info.But sir,lets be very objective here...........if promotion is 5 years then it will be difficult to reach Brig.Gen,very small number will hang colonel while majority will retire as Lt.Col.,some DSSC officers will even go as majors,you can check it your self considering our age now. I know of RC (formely SSC) officers who are Maj.General and many Brig.Generals now

promotion is 4yrs dats y dssc max 35yrs. Adddat to 4 u will hav 39 which is d run out date for lt

Is not just age, there is what is called Run Out Dates(ROD), It was approved by Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin (When he was CDS). Here, every rank has age limit and run out dates or better still age on rank retirement,for instance if you remain a Brig.Gen. at 56 then you retire immediately and so on and so forth,once i see the details i will post here

officers get promoted after 4yrs

are you a learner? 120k na basic salary plus other allowances like uniform, health, hazard, training allowances make up accumulated salary.

Generally, i feel the numbers of intake may increase,considering the demand and comparing with the numbers admitted into nda compare to previous years. Nda use to be 5 per state bt dis year was 11. Airforce use to be 4per state in to baches bt dis year some got 5 nd others 6. Look at the numbers of candidate invited to lagos for recruitment interview by d navy, nva did such b4. I pray we all succeed.
