Zombies have the pathological habit of always referring to Jonathan in defending their indefensibible Buhari.

Their latest misadventure is to defend the FG's crackdown on Justice Onneghen by claiming that Jonathan did same to that of then Justice Salami of the Appeal Court.

In their usual diversionary way, they have been posting blatant lies that Jonathan woke up one morning and proceeded to sack Salami.

Here are the facts....

There was enough evidence pointing to Salami collecting bribes and favours from ACN chieftain, Bola Tinubu towards influencing the outcome of electoral cases involving ACN candidates at the Appeal Court.

Salami's call logs gotten from MTN showed that he had been in contact with Bola Tinubu and other ACN candidates who had cases pending before his court. Salami could not give a valid reason why he will be in personal contact with litigants before his court.

The likes of that rascal, Aregbesola of Osun state owes his governorship to Salami as he only got to be governor due to Salami's ruling at the Appeal Court.

The NJC was duly petitioned by PDP to investigate the matter.

Jonathan was pressured by his own party men to throw his weight on the matter.

Jonathan will then promote Salami to the Supreme Court to which he (Salami) blatantly refused. The jaundiced SW press controlled by Tinubu will spin the whole thing claiming Jonathan wanted Salami removed from the Appeal Court because he had ruled in favour of the ACN. This is when Salami's head began to swell and he started forming Alutta even though he knew he was guilty of colluding with litigants before his court and taking bribes.

Jonathan will then withdraw the Supreme Court offer. How can a Judge refuse to serve in the highest capacity his profession has to offer?
The NJC will then set a panel headed by Justice A.I. Katsina-Alu to investigate allegations levelled against Justice Salami and during the course of proceedings Justice Salami continued to play the victim while lying about his close contact with Tinubu and other ACN party men. The council found out he was lying when the DSS supplied call logs and bank account transactions that showed clearly that Salami, indeed not only maintained frequent contacts with Tinubu and co but also was paid handsomely for delivering favorable judgement for the ACN.

On august 2011, the National Judicial Council suspended Justice Salami, sequel to his refusal to apologize to Justice A. I. Katsina-Alu, the former Chief Justice of Nigeria who headed the council’s panel that found him to have lied against the council.

In addition to the indefinite suspension, the council recommended to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to retire him from the bench.

Jonathan did not have a hand in Justice Salami's travails and we can clearly see that Jonathan even provided Salami some rope to save himself by promoting him to the Supreme Court to which the arrogant Judge refused. Justice Salami also relied on the jaundiced SW press to paint him as a victim where he was the main villain and from there took on the toga of an oppressed Judge fighting for his right. That it was the NJC that investigated and found Salami guilty and recommended him to be retired from the bench to Jonathan.

So please, disregard any rubbish coming out of BMC.
