Family › Re: My Elder Sister Has Cut All Of Us Off - What Can I Do? by Slydanswer(m): 12:05pm On Sep 23, 2025 |
[quote author=Beerbeer post=136886496]We are four siblings in my family: two boys who are twins and two girls. When my mum passed, my elder sister stood in as a parent for us. She paid for our university education and sent us monthly allowances for feeding. In fact, three of us would have dropout if not for her. Even when I graduated from school, she was still sending me 30k every month, pending when I get a job. This is in addition to also sending same to my siblings and my father. She has done this for close to 10 years without complaint.
Recently, I finished a project that paid me 2.1 million. This is how I spent the money: I gave 500k to my church to thank them for getting me the job. 300k to my father. 100k to my stepmum. 100k to my second sister. Bought 700k laptop to help with my coding job. I used the rest to pay rent, change my wardrobe, clearance from school, and feeding.
My elder sister found out from my twin brother and got angry because I didn't tell her anything about the job or the money. She was also angry because I didn't set aside money for my twin brother going to law school this year.
To be honest, I didn't think it was a big deal to tell her. I knew my twin was in safe hands cos she was already handling that so I didn't bother. Before now, she had already paid the law school fees (about 500k). So I thought it was settled. I tried to reason with her but she refused to hear.
She was also angry I didn't tell her about the laptop. I knew I messed up here because she was the one that encouraged me to pick up coding and even bought my first laptop. I told her I wanted to finalize everything but it made her angry tye more. She blocked me and I also found out she blocked everyone else including our father.
All these happened in April. I thought she would calm down by now. But I just discovered that she has moved out of our state without telling anyone. She has blocked all the numbers we tried to reach her.
My twin brother said she only sends him allowance for law school (100k every month) and has blocked his number so he won't contact her. He is the only person she sends money to now as she has stopped giving us as before.
I am so confused. Why is she acting like this? Shouldn't she be happy for me? Nairalanders help me.
You made a lot of mess. The money gave to your step mum should have been reduced. You should have shown a token of gratitude to her. |

Romance › Re: You Can’t Call Urself A Real Man If U Can’t Forgive Ur Wife For Cheating. by Slydanswer(m): 10:57am On Aug 10, 2025 |
irumole1975: Many men are self absorbed especially Nigerian men. I read a post on Twitter yesterday about a man who find out his child isn’t his and the wife has been sleeping around with her ex. The man on knowing this stopped all responsibility on the woman and called the marriage quit. What a weak man.
Strong men forgive! They don’t resent and dwell on past mistakes. The children should not suffer because of the little mistake from the mother. Talk to ur wife, ask her why she cheated, apologise to her and let her know you still have her best interests at heart. Marriage is all about forgiveness.
Also, you can try talk to the man she cheated on u with and tell her to stop sleeping with ur wife. Thai way ur wife will know u truly love her and her respect for u will increase.
Nigerian men should learn to swallow their ego Who be this one na? |
Romance › Re: No Woman Has The Power To Friendzone You — You Friendzoned Yourself by Slydanswer(m): 7:41am On Jul 27, 2025 |
Kalatium: I have a friend that was interested in a lady. After getting close to her, he declared his intentions and she said she can't tell him yes or no that they should just be friends, thay6 currently she is not ready for relationship.
He should have just left but he chose to remain friends. About 2months later, she entered relationship with her fellowship president. My guy was like getting jealous. A year layer, they eventually broke up when he was about graduating. So my guy was like let him allow this girl rest for like 2weeks then he restrategize and see if he could get her only for him to hear she was dating an MBBS student under weeks of breaking up with her ex.
That was when it dawn on my friend that he will never get her. Just wasting him time in the friend zone. Nice write up, many guys fail to understand these things. You can't give what you can't receive. |
Romance › Re: The Problems Of Sleeping With A Married Woman. by Slydanswer(m): 8:37am On Jul 05, 2025 |
Mabuggi88: Na so. We're just holding ourselves for morality sake and respect for the husband, nothing like consequences. You will do it hundred times and do your normal life business and even as God wants you to. If it's on traditional ground, I can say yes. In my village a completed man can not even cross the legs of a married woman within the same home town. If you dare do it, you will see the consequences in no short time, no prolonged issues. You will not die oo, but you will be greatly embarrassed by what you have done, nobody will touch or course you, it's just you and gods of the land, in fact people will even distance you until you clease yourself but then you can't be buried in the village again when you die, your grave is already in the forest cemetery You are saying the same thing. Just as you this laws in your village, some tribes might be worse than that. |

God1000: he never did any of that to Jonathan, I'm not aware of such.
And to be honest with you, Goodluck Jonathan didn't do well as president, I first voted for him in 2011 and later voted against him in 2015 due to high level of insecurity and the corruption under his watch, his inability to control the people he appointed, but if you compare his government to that of Buhari and the current one, he's better than them
Jonathan is a man with good heart, but he couldn't control the cabals and they ruined his government. Honestly you don't know what you are saying |

Osgilliat: Only someone that lack knowledge and understanding will think that the governor went to the north for political favor. He just single-handedly averted a riot crises and reprisal attacks on easterners living in the north, not even only easterners both westerners too. As long as you are not part of them when the riot start they don’t spare anyone. No region in Nigeria can match the animalistic level of the north, they are brutal and a large number of them are uneducated. All what it takes is a spark and innocent blood will start to flow. Kudos to the governor for he just saved lives with this act. You can all blame him, rain curses on him but he has done his part nonetheless.
No matter how Edo mad reach ya all can’t be mad like the north. Oga everyone have violence in them. That one no be talk. |

Botragelad: The pardon thing is becoming funny, but I've got to ask, did you express similar outrage when Biden pardoned his son Hunter, who's struggled with addiction, and others close to him? Or is your condemnation only selective? You dey mind em... They want to use media attack the man. The same pattern. |

SYSTEM222: You must be very Mad.
Very Very Mad.
That's how a lot of men end up raising other people's kids.
Her husband paid her bride price. Married her from her home after spending money. She now answers his Name.
He goes out to hustle for the family daily and you are saying again?
Knowing your girlfriend(with no tangible commitment), is a cheat is very heartbreaking. Not to talk of your wife, the mother of your kids, making sex videos with another man. Sucking another man's d*ck passionately and submitting for doggy.
You didn't just hear it happened but you washed the clips alongside a billion internet users.
All this happened with the wedding ring you gave her on her fingers.
It's traumatizing. My guy thank you for your comment. Sometimes I dey wonder how people dey think. |
