Judiciary Crisis: NBA Suspends Amaechi's Aide. May 29, 2015: CHUKWUDI AKASIKE. Following the lingering Crisis in Rivers State. The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the State, Mr. Worgu Boms, was on Thursday suspended by the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch. The NBA took the decision to suspend Boms and declare him a Persona Non Grata during the Association's Meeting in Port Harcourt ,presided over by the Chairman of the Branch Mr Dennis Okwamkpan. The NBA explained that the Actions and declarations of the State Attorney General had been detrimental to the welfare and survival of lawyers in the state. Ninety-two members of NBA had voted in favour of sanctioning the Justice Commissioner while 18 voted against the decision. Twenty persons were however absent at the meeting. It will be recalled that the Courts in the State had remained under lock and key since June 9, 2014,a development that had made it impossible for Litigants to take their grievances to Court while the accused have not been able to defend themselves in Court. At a point, they were regarded as Rivers State 1st Eleven. They were the envy of the South South Geo Political zone. A united force against oppression, ready to take their state to the next level. At a time when Port Harcourt was known as the GARDEN CITY. A popular musician DUNCAN MIGHTY termed them Port Harcourt 1st Sons. With time things have fallen apart and the center cannot hold. The ones enviably boys from KALABRI and IKWERRE are now so divided that Rivers State has become a theatre of war and a laughing stock among right thinking Nigerians as can be seen from the just concluded general elections. The big question on every one's mind is why did these men allow themselves to be used by forces from outside their state? Why are the ones sending them on this destructive mission not doing same in their own state? Where lies the future of Rivers State in the hands of some of these selfish sons? Will Rivers State ever return to its enviable past glories? Time will tell. Here are some of their names in no alpahabetical order for all to see. Note: Not all of them are into politics. 1. Rotimi Amaechi. 2. Eze Nyesom Wike. 3. Tonye Harry (late) 4. Georgie Amangala. 5. Harcourt Whyte. 6. K K Kobani. 7. Jotex (victor of Jotex Collection). 8. Henry Agbotaen. 9. O.C.J Okocha. 10. Is not in their blood to tender apology so pls don't expect any. Meanwhile i strongly believe that a grassroot politician like Fayose should be made the PDP National Chairman. His a force to reckon with and APC's worst nightmare. With Fayose as the chairman then PDP will bounce back real quick. |
What's stopping ICC from taking this man up? |
You need to unseat the Most High God before you agents of darkness can unseat me. #Ayo Fayose to APC. |
They should learn what happened in Rivers when lawmakers tried to impeach Amaechi. He went into the assembly complex and knacked them Akpako. They can only try but will definitely meet the same fate. Fayose is going no where. His Ekiti State Governor till 2018 so deal with that. |
Wow i thought your a strong man. Why then are you praying for peace mass transit? |
Greetings to you all. The 2015 presidential elections has come and gone. With our party and candidate President Goodluck Jonathan losing his seat. Having conceded defeat and equally congratulated Buhari for emerging victorious at the polls. I wish to use this medium to equally extend my congratulatory message to him,i do hope he will deliver on his electoral promises. I believe so much in this new PDP of ours and i see no reason why i should decamp to the APC. Come rain come shine am a die hard and staunch PDP supporter. I want to make an open proposition and i want us to deliberate on it. First we are all aware that APC comprises most of Northern and Yoruba members and as such they were able to wrestle power from us cos the North has the highest number of registered voters. My proposition is that for us to get back to power we must have to form alliance with other political parties(Apga, labour party, sdp, kowa party etc)thereby practising two party system. I strongly believe that if we form alliance with these parties then we are good to go. Your comments are needed. Thanks and remain blessed. |
Mallam Buhari's 1.3million victory in Katsina has just been cancelled with GEJ's 1.4million votes in Rivers. Amaechi how market? |
Fake news since saturday. They refused to grant press interview over what brought about the fight. Yet you people said they were fighting because of election result sheet. How did you get to know ![]() |
If it is not GEJ then the results are fake and unacceptable. |
I was at my voting unit earlier today shouting ontop of my voice at the Inec ad hoc staffs. Show me Jonathan i want to vote for him. Oga pls calm down we don't have Jonathan here you can only vote for his party PDP. I said show me Jonathan i want to vote for him or else there would trouble here. Oga here is PDP logo kindly vote for your Jonathan here. Eeehee now your talking. Am here for Jonathan. |
Agents of darkness again. In GEJ we trust not Mallam Buhari the RAPIST. |
