Lumig:
This is a laudable step. The west has been manipulating the rest of the world into democracy so that they can continue to have their way and continue to suck us dry of our rrsources
Many are carried away by the buzz around democracy not seeing the motive behind introducing the system especially to Africa. I believe that democracy is wonderful if naturally practiced, but no. It is a backdoor to the colonial masters to always come in through so many guise to control us
Foreign AffairsRe: US Navy To Start Blockading All Ships On The Strait Of Hormuz - President Trump by slyzy(m): 11:02pm On Apr 12
Gotocourt:
Under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), coastal states cannot demand payment for passage through straits, including the Strait of Hormuz, simply for permission to transit.

Iran has no right to block the strait of Hormuz 📌💯
What right does the US have to attack and kill their leader amidst negotiation
RomanceRe: There’s One Thing My Girlfriend Has Never Done, Yet We’re Planning Marriage by slyzy(m): 10:27pm On Apr 12
CYBERWEAVER:
I am currently planning to get married. I’ve been with my babe for about a year now.

After several consultations, we agreed on a wedding budget of about 3 million Naira.

But I keep asking myself one very honest question: how do I commit that kind of money to someone who hasn’t really shown the same level of effort back, even in something as small as 5k, despite earning a little?

Asin, I never smell her 5k since we started dating.

At this point, it’s not even about the money anymore. It’s about intention, balance, and simple acts of kindness.

Even on my birthday, I didn’t receive a gift from her, and that stayed with me more than I expected.

I’ve never had to deliberately test her money, because genuine care and small acts of giving usually show themselves naturally over time.

To be clear, I’ve been carrying most of the financial weight in this relationship, and there’s hardly anything tangible she has ever done for herself without at least my 50% contribution since we met.

I don’t complain, but I also don’t want to ignore what I’m seeing.

As a responsible man, I’m trying to be honest with myself before I take a step I can’t easily undo.

So I want to ask people who are married or have real experience: if I go ahead and marry in a relationship where this is the current dynamic, what should I realistically expect in marriage?

I’m not trying to assume the worst, but I also believe experience speaks louder than hope.
Pretend u lost a big amount of money and things aren't well for like a month and see what she will do

Why is Africa always leading in terms of bad news

Shuuuuuuuuuuu
Could this be a biological warfare targeted at Africa? Notice how the first top 12 leading countries are all from Africa.
It has been maintained in some quarters that Hiv is man made. If true, Africa doesn't have the capability to invent such. Which country does? Why is it now prevalent in Africa.

Rumours have it that any medical breakthrough that come up with a cure always die mysteriously....
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Tinubu Urges National Assembly To Legalize State Police by slyzy(m): 1:42am On Nov 27, 2025
ElSudani:
He can not unilaterally create state police without amendment to the constitution by the national assembly.
Security is the responsibility of everyone and the national assembly should do their part.
He should have shown seriousness by sending an executive bill to the national assembly for State police to be created not mere words of mouth. I suspect that this is just noise

Denalarian:
Lol.. it's about to go down.. since they've increased import duty Trump's now attention suddenly became genocide of Christians.. I hope he tackles it genuinely and not emotional politics 😂😂
Sultan is the head of Fulani in Nigeria. A mere vocal condemnation of Fulani terrorising Nigeria would have discouraged the atrocious massacre of Fulani terrorists but no. He has never criticized their actions even for once. It is a silence of complicity.

The Sultan of late has been calling for social media regulation. The instrument that exposes the evil of Fulani deeds to the world. Mind u, he hasn't condemned the murders that cause the ventilation but the instrument. Meaning, he wants the killing to continue quietly. Sultan is the father and Patron of murderous Fulani terrorists. End.

BusinessRe: Nigeria’s Currency Surges To 10-month High Against The Dollar by slyzy(m): 3:26am On Nov 01, 2025
loffyloffy:
Govt always borrow against expected revenue plus deficit to run their budget.

Tinubu have the biggest budget ever, so naturally he will also borrow the most.

Some of this loans are short term loans that are being paid back as the revenue is comming in.

But even at that the loan in total will continue to rise as the revenue is rising.
Figures don't lie.

When Buhari left office, Nigeria debt stood at ₦12Trillion. Within Tinubu's short rule the country's debt has ballooned to ₦152.40 Trillion and still counting

Mind you, subsidy has been removed. Where is the proceeds of subsidy going to warrant such wanton borrowing?

And If some of the borrowing are short term as u said, why does the total debt keeps going up instead coming down to level up as u want me to believe?

As the naira rises in value, the need for borrowing will reduce.

Economics is not a precise science where 1 + 1 always equal 2.
No, where is the proceeds of subsidy going to?
BusinessRe: Nigeria’s Currency Surges To 10-month High Against The Dollar by slyzy(m): 2:02am On Nov 01, 2025
YesDaddyTill203:
Don't you know the difference between then and now?

The Naira is now floating by itself. It's not backed by government intervention.
That's what a real market economy is supposed to look like, not that artificial method under the previous governments.
So now that the naira is floated (no artificial backup of naira) and subsidy is also removed, where is the proceeds going to that Tinubu keeps borrowing on monthly basis? The money Tinubu has borrowed within two years is more than what Buhari borrowed for eight years and it goes on. What's happening?

grandstar:
What you're asking is not possible again in economics.

It is like asking a woman to back to what she looked like before she had babies.

The fundamentals have changed. You should have been complaining when Buhari was destroying the economy from 2015-2023.

That was when the destruction of the economy was going on.
And Tinubu is presently fixing the economy by piling up debts without showing any fiscal discipline
Foreign AffairsRe: Russia Donates Military Equipments & Boats To Uganda (Photos) by slyzy(m): 4:39am On Oct 29, 2025
Saturnalia:
I do not understand why the Nigerian Government cannot procure more Military equipment from Russia aside the MI-35 Gunships which Buhari procured.

Nigeria needs sophisticated weaponry from Russia just like Algeria and Egypt are doing.

We need S-400 Air Defense Systems, T90 Tanks, BMPT-90 Terminators, TOS-1A Artillery platforms, BM-30 Smerch, PANTSIR-S1, ISKANDER-E, MIG-29s, SU-35,

Goddamnit! Nigeria is practically defenseless.

The Nigerian Government must understand that preparing for war is the best way of securing peace.
Our colonial masters whom our politicians worship will NOT approve of such moves.

State police should also be created to secure the citizens in the various states if not the same federal security architecture should guide the national Assembly

Foreign AffairsRe: Russia Offers 5,000 Fully Funded University Spots To Africa by slyzy(m): 3:33am On Oct 17, 2025
epainos:
Very funny comments above.

FYI, Russia has had educational bilateral relationship with Africa and Asia for free education from Bachelor to masters degree. Then if you want, you can return for PhD. These programs have been on before 1970 sef.

So many Africans are there. FG arranges that of Nigeria. There is an entrance exam to qualify for it that students write every year.

Russia give free tuition and free accomodation, plus a token stipend per month. Nigeria Then gives the students monthly stipends too. As at 2012 that I know they were collecting up to $600 or so per month. I am sure it is more than this today.
The comments above are really nauseating. Most Nigerians have been brainwashed by propaganda to see Russia as a hostile country. This has blinded Nigs and Africans to see that Russia never enslaved, colonized or exploit Africa in anyway. They rather helped many African countries to gain independence. It's ironic that we still choose to side with our oppressors (they put chains on our ancestors necks) and continue to view Russia despite her good intentions towards Africa with skepticism.

We choose to side with those that enslaved us, colonized, exploited and still sponsoring terror against us. We will continue to perish for lack of knowledge

Russia is an over hyped super power. So after almost four years, they are still seeking help of mercenaries from third world countries to defeat 'little' Ukraine.

Shame tongue
America could not defeat the ragtag afghan militias for 20 years. They had to beat a shabish pull out leaving behind their military hardwares for the Afghan Taliban to take over.

Needn't i remind you of how Vietnamese; farmers o humiliated America in recent history. Let me tell you, Russia has never lost a war unlike America that only bully small countries

If Russia decide to go full throttle on Ukraine even the devil will pity them
PoliticsRe: Sultan Of Sokoto Calls For Social Media Regulation by slyzy(m): 4:38pm On Oct 16, 2025
You will never see this Sultan condemning violent attacks and killings by Fulani herdsmen. It is social media that offers the peasants killed by rampaging Fulani the outlet to call attention to their plight he is after .

Sultan call the Fulani to order. Tell them to stop killing Nigerians and leave the social media alone

The economists, financial institutions, the business men and women have been saying positive things about the progress been made by the administration of president with his policies and reforms but some 2x2 traders who dont know Jack about economy have been saying the opposite just because they are in the opposition.

They will all be alive to witness the growth and development of Nigeria

God bless Nigeria
These are business bigwigs desiring to invest for their profit. It's commonsense that u don't curse the tree while desiring its fruit. Again, Some of those economists hold high positions in the likes of WEF which is a sister body to IMF where Tinubu's economic policies are dictated. They dare not criticise while still on platform.

Now let's get into it. There is no gain saying that Nig economy is in doldrums. Inflation is all time high, naira has abysmally lost its value, tailing as the 44th currency in Africa out of 54 countries. Evidently, what is the value of dollar to naira?

Nigeria has been ranked the 12th poorest country in the world (which is generous) by gross domestic product per capita in 2025 by IMF with 89 million of its population in abject poverty.

The most touted economic policies of Tinubu have not produced any visible impact in the lives of average Nigs but plague of hunger and the promissory rhetoric of result will soon manifest. We all know it's not happening.

Now, despite the much talk about subsidy removal, we can not point to any benefit that accrue as a result. Rather layers of debt that will take generations to clear. Where is the subsidy money going to?

We have gone past the stage of using investors mere chant of clean bill of health to assess the overall performance of this blighted economy mishaps we presently have under this tax master, except we are being deluded or deceitful.
Foreign AffairsRe: Russia Will Seize Assets Of Western Companies In Retaliation - Kremlin Warns by slyzy(m): 9:40am On Oct 03, 2025
Russia is a big embarassment.

Nuclear weapon aside, Ukraine would have batted Russia aside. Even with the restrictions to weapons Ukraine is allowed to use in Russia and Russia receiving North Korean, chinese and iranian gadgets plus 10s of thousands of troops from North Korea, the frontline is largely a stalemate.

Take this your propaganda to X. You will find people dull enough to believe it.[/quote]***************†***********************

If nuclear should be put aside then even the US will bow to Russia cos the kinds of weapons Russia has, US and the whole of NATO don't come close. US and the west only propaganised their military strength to intimidate small countries. The restrictions they placed on Ukraine not to use same weapons they sent to them is purely out of fear of Russia's reaction. Remember Russia warned that any weapons use to strike them automatically makes the manufacturer a legitimate target. That's why they tell Ukraine "don't". They know who the boss is.

Didn't you see how Trump rolled out the red carpet to Putin when he visited Alaska? Why didn't they arrest him since there's ICC warrant of arrest on him? They way Trump was so courteous and respectful should hint at something.

Instead of seeing Russia as an embarrassment, u should be concerned that despite the weapons and aids the US and NATO sent to Ukraine, Russia still did them dirty. Mind you, Putin deliberately does not want to go full throttle on Ukraine, yet they have a bloodied nose already. Take this, Russia is a big game.

CareerRe: 43 In Every 100 Nigerian Bank Workers Are Contract Staff by slyzy(m): 1:44pm On Oct 02, 2025
The volume of statistics given are false without any apology.
The stat should be 65% Contract staff and 45% Main Staff

The whole of operations staff in Two Third of the banks in Nigeria are contract staff. If u see 3 or 4 staff Manning the customer service, all of them are outsourced. All the tellers are contract staff too with only cash officer and Operations Manager as main staff.

In marketing unit, 6 out of 10 are also contract staff.
The statistics is very false. Banks are terribly enslaving Nigerians. Here is the annoying part. The outsourcing firms are owned by top executives or their relatives.
