Nice write up. My younger version would understandably prefer Shango but my more mature self will not hesitate to give Ogun his followers.

Shango's larger-than-life persona earned him a more colourful image in Yoruba folktales and oral traditions. His proclivity for spectacles contributed to his illustriousness among his impressionable devotees.

Ogun on the other hand, I believe, is a more mature and sturdy god. His influence runs deep, touching critical areas such as exploration, civilization, technology, service, defense, justice and purity. His ability to feter courage with restraint and balance power and influence with seclusion and self-preservation are exemplary among his many refined attributes.
