PropertiesRe: My New Apartment Has No Network Signal Indoors And It Is Affecting My Work by Smartguyboy(m): 4:35pm On Jun 13
babaidan:
Good evening everyone.

I need advice regarding a house I recently rented through an agent.

I have not stayed in the apartment for up to 3 days, but I have discovered a major problem that is seriously affecting my work and income. There is virtually no mobile network inside the house. MTN, Airtel, and Glo all fail indoors. I have tested multiple phones and networks in every room, including the parlour, kitchen, and bedrooms.
The only way I can get a little signal is by opening the door or going outside. As I write this, my younger brother and friend are outside late at night trying to get network access. I also use several phones and a laptop for my work, so this issue has already affected my productivity and earnings.
The building is relatively new, and this problem was never mentioned by the agent before I paid. Had I known that there was no usable network inside the apartment, I would have seriously reconsidered renting it because my work depends heavily on internet access.

My questions are:

If I report this to the landlord and agent and they refuse to refund my money or provide a solution, what are my options?

Can such a matter be reported to the police, or is it strictly a civil matter?

Does this situation give me any legal grounds to seek a refund or compensation, considering I discovered the issue almost immediately after moving in?

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar or has knowledge of tenancy and property matters in Nigeria.

Thank you
I was experiencing it too when I parked to my apartment down floor.

For me to browse I have to hang my phone at the window until I bought wifi , if I don’t hang my phone or phone at the window I can’t do anything.

Just go buy WiFi and next time you want to rent house check for network connection first before checking anything else and don’t live at down floor .

SportsRe: South Africa Goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams Laments Lack Of African Support by Smartguyboy(m): 8:55am On Jun 13
Bobloco:
South Africa captain Ronwen Williams has expressed disappointment at what he described as a lack of support from fellow African nations following Bafana Bafana’s 2-0 defeat to co-hosts Mexico in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup match on Thursday night, Saturday PUNCH reports.

The result leaves South Africa with work to do in Group A as they pursue a place in the knockout rounds.

Speaking after the match, Williams admitted he was surprised by the volume of African football fans who appeared to back Mexico rather than an African representative on the global stage, and called for greater unity among Africans during major tournaments.

“Africans have always supported other African countries in every World Cup tournament, but I can’t figure out why our own case is different,” Williams said. “Many Africans supported Mexico, not us, the South Africans. We almost shed tears, but it’s truly sad.”

"As Africans, let’s stand for each other, let’s stand together.”

While some supporters sympathised with the goalkeeper’s sentiments and agreed that African nations should rally behind one another at international competitions, others offered a contrasting view.

A number of social media users from countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Zimbabwe argued that recurring reports of xenophobic attacks on African migrants in South Africa have weakened the sense of continental solidarity, with several referencing past incidents involving foreign nationals living in the country as having shaped how other Africans view South Africa.

Some openly stated that they had supported Mexico in the match, citing those tensions as a factor in their decision.

Proof Africa will never unite as one just like the EU.

CrimeRe: Not Juju Or Jazz. It's Scopolamine – The Drug Behind Nigerian 'one Chance' Magic by Smartguyboy(m): 8:44pm On Jun 11
nlfpmod:
Bond_not_james shares a video arguing that Nigerian "jazz" or "juju" used by kidnappers and "one chance" operators is likely scopolamine, a real substance causing compliance, disorientation, and amnesia rather than supernatural forces.

Scopolamine, derived from plants, is covertly administered via powder or drinks and documented in South American crimes for inducing suggestible states where victims hand over valuables while appearing conscious.

The Islamic regime don't care about their people.

They care about the destruction of Israel.
So they prefer to suffer their citizens and channel all their wealth to Hamas, Hezbollah and international terrorism.
Israel, Qatar and USA also fund Hamas too for your information. Nothing goes in or out of Gaza without Israel authorizing it even weapons.

BusinessRe: The National Brands Development And The Made In Nigeria Project Office by Smartguyboy(m): 6:25am On Jun 05
There was a time when Peugeot vehicles assembled in Nigeria were the preferred official cars of government officials. Driving a locally assembled vehicle was a symbol of confidence in Nigerian industry and a commitment to national development.

Today, Nigeria has indigenous automobile manufacturers and assembly companies working hard to build vehicles locally. Yet many government officials still prefer imported brands, while preaching the importance of supporting local products.

The National Brands Development Framework and the “Made-in-Nigeria” campaign will only be taken seriously when our leaders lead by example. If government officials truly believe in promoting local industries, then locally manufactured vehicles should become the official vehicles of government ministries, agencies, and public office holders.

Supporting Nigerian-made vehicles is not just about patriotism; it is about creating jobs, strengthening local industries, encouraging technology transfer, reducing foreign exchange pressure, and building confidence in our own capabilities.

No country developed its manufacturing sector by depending solely on imported products. Governments around the world support their local industries through policies and patronage. Nigeria should do the same.

The message is simple: Nigerians will take “Made in Nigeria” seriously when the government starts using Nigerian-made products, especially Nigerian-made vehicles. Leadership is not only about making policies; it is about setting the example.

Toolegit123:
Good day everyone out there.

Lately, I have been traumatized. Like so depressed. My fiancee and I have been together for over 2 years and we've been planning to take the next step, which is our marriage arrangements.

But recently,I have noticed how she has been distancing herself from me. Though we had a little quarrels not quite long ago,but I really wanted to settle things up. And unfortunately, before I could calm things up,I noticed she had blocked me on Whatsapp.

Now,the pain in me,is that I've tried to talk to her,but she seems like who doesn't want to listen to me and it's really hitting hard on me.

This is someone who has always been toxic and disrespectful to me,but whenever I try t walk away completely from her,i always find myself going back to her. And I'm so tired and fed up with the whole thing.

I have tried to walk away, like forget about everything we've together in the past but the healing process hasn't been easy. I really want my peace of mind back. Please, has anyone been in this kind of situation before? How did you navigate yourself through it. Please, help a brother in need.
You be confirmed SIMP
She have moved on with her life while you are still dwelling in the past .
