So I finally apply for the ds 160 NIV and print out the confirmation page. I called the embassy here in Senegal they said i should wait to receive a letter from the embassy with instructions to pay the fee and book appointment. Senegal processing is kinda different from the rest of the world cos I was wondering why Senegal is not in the list when you click Africa on ustraveldocs.com I found out on VisaJourney there is another designated website where us visa applicant uss to pay fees and book appointment. I just hope im not in for another marathon wait

proof of wedding plan is not required, just go with the documents below and you’ll be fine:

1.DS 160
2. Medical ( You may not be interviewed if your medical is not ready)
3.Police report
4. Birth certificates- NPC attestation of birth ( Original and Copy)
5: Evidence of Relationships ( pictures, chat and call logs)
6:Affidavit of Support and other financial docs( 1040, W2/ IRS tax transcript)
7: International Passports
8: 2 passports photos (2*2)

Good day guys, so I have a question. I read that one of the requirements for the interview at the consulate is proof of wedding plans, if we get my Fiance's Priest in his church over there at the US to write a letter concerning the wedding date is that enough proof? For those that have scaled through the interview, can you be so kind as to tell us how you went about this part.

Why would you need an immigration lawyer? Is your case complex? Being denied a Student Visa in the past will not affect your Fiancée Visa application. It will be adjudicated based on its merit and not based on your previous visa denials.

Guys, please has anybody used the immigration lawyer on visajourney.com before? Are they effective? They asked for my card for payment and am just trying to be careful to avoid stories that touch oo

hi, ,@sharpman gave you the correct answer, please note that k1 visas are very easy to get in US consulate in Naija too as long as your case is genuine, to you first question, I started October 2019, all the best to you

Agent? Please forget using an agent.

You can do the process yourself unless you have a complicated case.....and what you need for a complicated case is an immigration lawyer in the US not a Nigerian agent that does not understand the process himself/herself.

You should also join visajourney.com. Great resource and information on any question regarding the K1 and Spousal visa there.
