Guys, I just realized that I didn’t come back to share my update on my k1 journey. Noa1: August 30, 2021 Noa2: November 10, 2022 Nvc welcome letter: February 14, 2023 Intransit: February 16 Medicals: April 19th, 2023 Interview: May 10th, 2023
POE: Our plane landed at Detroit, got to the customs officer handed him my yellow sealed envelope and he asked for my passport and just stamped my entry date on it then gave me back (I was expecting plenty of questions and searching🤣 but then I thank God)afterwards I went to pick my luggages. God bless you @Treasure Prince, it was your timeline that gave me the courage to start this process in the first place and I hope someday someone reads my timeline and gets encouraged too |

Most people that have this issue are those who reschedule their interview dates, it’s mostly advised to stick to a date instead of rescheduling harlimy: Congratulations to everyone who got approved yesterday. The approvals were massive! There was one Kenyan who asked a lot of questions but he was still awesome with approvals.
Please fam, a brother got there yesterday with his invitation letter and all document but his name was omitted from the entry list. On the login profile, it stated he was scheduled for November 10 still! To cut the story short, he couldn’t do the interview yesterday.
Please, what’s the way forward fam? |

Thank God oo! LegitBachelor: Guys I have a testimony. I know this is not the religion thread but it's still related to this section.
So I usually keep my social security card locked in my "vault". But I was told by Bank of America that I will need to come with my social security card for them to update my bank account with my social security number. So I took out my card and placed it in between a book.
Now, when I was leaving the bank, I placed the book on my car so I can strap my daughter into the baby sear. So I forgot the book along with my social security card on the car and drove off. It was when I got home that I remembered my social security card and started wondering where I left it. I tried retracing my steps and also went to the bank but didn't see my card there. Then it occurred to me that perhaps I forgot it on the car....of course it was no longer there when I checked. I also checked where I parked the car when I went to the bank and it also wasn't there. Then it occurred to me that the book possibly still remained on the car until when i got to the highway where it possibly got blown away by the wind due to the car speed.
So I commenced searching for my social security card on the highway, at that point I had given hope that I will see my card. I thought about the stress of reporting my lost card to the police and the stress of applying to get a new card. I also thought about the risk of identity theft as my social security number is now exposed to anyone who finds my card.
But low and behold, I saw my book in the middle of the highway. It was battered beyond recognition as many cars have run it over but I did not see my card in it. The card is just a little paper and can be blown farther away due to the wind...so the chances of seeing my card is still slim. But I kept searching and then I saw it! I saw it stuck in a shrub farther off from where I saw the battered book. The card was not scratched one bit. It was as if someone just secured it for me. God is wonderful.
I will never be this careless with my card in the future. I hope you all learn from my mistake. I also want to share this testimony on God's Grace in my life. |

I understand your fear however there’s no cause for alarm. People have gone with this recent updated police clearance for interviews and they weren’t sent back because of it baba2unday: Please house, I am worried about this police clearance that didn’t come with fingerprints. I am worried if it’s acceptable at the US embassy without the fingerprints. I asked them at Alagbon police station, they told me that’s what they issue. I don’t trust this police guys o. Please has anyone confirmed this? My interview is on the way Abeg. |

Please don’t risk rescheduling, I believe on the portal when you picked a date there was a note that also advised against rescheduling because the only date that the embassy will document will be the first K1 interview date you picked, this is also the reason why some people that rescheduled earlier don’t find their names on the list at the embassy on the new day they picked InvestorTeeMan: Thanks for always bro.

The thing is dicey, earlier in February this year, the available dates were only for 2023 but around March till early July this year closer dates of one to two months period became available in 2022, dates can be available at anytime. Cases differ for each individual and so you can not use the case of someone with Noa1 of 2021 January who just got interview date recently as your yardstick to judge because you don’t know what caused the person delay outside the normal processing time. I know people whose K1 cases got approved from uscis to nvc including their interview just between March last year and July this year. Just stay positive and pray to your God chimebuka90: Good day everyone
Please I want to know what's happening with those who are waiting to book interview date, does it mean it's hard to get interview now and please I heard to get interview date now could reach like late 2023, someone told me that recently, I want to know if fiancee Visa is still worth it or I should consider spousal Visa.
Please people who have gone through these process should enlighten me abeg oo I heard before now it's 6 to 8 months now am seeing a lot of people saying they filed early 2021 and are yet to even go for interview. Please I need advice from experienced people here @airboy and others please help a brother |

You have to wait because during the medical you will be required to produce your interview confirmation page. Also it’s advisable to have your medicals 2-3 weeks before your interview (especially 3 weeks). baba2unday: Is it ideal to go for medical examination prior to booking interview or just wait? |

Don’t worry about the approval validity, it can be updated by your CO during interview. Just be on the lookout for dates which sometimes comes mostly on shipping days which are mostly Tuesdays and Wednsedays InvestorTeeMan: Been checking everyday o No interview dates yet, it is a bit frustrating. I received packet 3 last week I just hope dates will be available anytime soon coz it is almost four months approval validity. |

I doubt if you need to submit any inquiries this time, just keep trying the number especially by 9am (Nigeria time) on the dot. It takes a while but you will get across to someone funfortune24: Thank you @Airboy333.
I tried the number today and was told the line has been suspended for inquiries.
I've submitted an inquiry form already but that's going to take another 2 months or so to get a response. |

Though this is very rare but some people complain that they when they reach the embassy, their names are not seen on the list. To avoid such, it’s advisable to persuade the petitioner to call the embassy by 9am a day or two before your interview to ensure that one’s name is on the list, someone traveled from Abuja to Lagos and got such devastating news on her interview day mumdearest: Good day house, any recent update on interview? Please share. |

There are movements going on, someone whose NOA 2 was approved in March 8 is currently on transit. I don’t think the NVC wait time will get to a year again because early last month, most K1 cases from January to December 2021 were moved to the Lagos embassy so there won’t be need for up to 13 months backlog again at the nvc stage again OLAOREOFE50: This is Ridiculos , after waiting almost 1 year to get approval, then another long wait for welcome letter. unbelievable. hopefully it gets faster this time, i pray!! |
