It depends on the capacity of the bucket. We 10 - wheel Mack Dump Truck that can carry 30tons, when I say 30tons I know what I mean. Maybe it wasn't designed to carry it abroad but with a big bucket, d naija factor would come in.

Therefore, 10 wheeler: 15 , 17, 18, 19, 20, 25 to 30tons.

Here is a pictorial answer to your question sir. The pix attached is a Single 10tyre Mack Dump Truck with bucket capacity of over 25tons.

We loaded it this week en route Ajah with Granite Dust of 26.7tons. The 2 tyres you see very close to the truck head are false, just there to serve as helpers...not the main tyres.
And as you can see there is still small space in the bucket that can occupy up to 2 tons of the same material.

The mechanised compactor gives a compaction efficiency of 70-90% while the manual method gives an efficeincy of 50-60%...
To cater for the discrepscies in compaction and the unavailibality of hardcore, we have introduced a reinfrocement mat made up of Y8 spaced at 300mm c/c in both directions... This would increase the DPC ressitance to settlement.

I may have to disagree with you sir, I don't even consider Chinese to be white, another discussion for another days.

It is not down to corruption sir, it is down to our culture instant money. Operating a qaury is capital intensive and you need to invest all these money that it will take you a lot years to get your investment back hence our people are not ready to wait that long.

You can have a quary fully automated where people pay electronically and the quantity of material bought are measured to customer and this will go in a long way to cut down irregularities

Bro I didn't mean Chinese white ppl but only used white skinned. I know who white(Caucasian etc) are no need for any discussion with me on this for another day.

There are many quarries which are owned by Nigerians, when I say Nigerians...prominent, popular and rich ones but the chinese manage them and front for them. I can say 1 or 2 that is owned by a Top Senator that has been in the Senate since 1999 up till now.
They are well funded.

Another one, there used to be 2 quarries in the south west owned by 2 Nigerian friends but run by the chinese. When the chinese were in charge, things were smooth but when these 2 friends had quarrel due to political differences, one went to another party. They had to split property and the chinese left... Up till now those 2 quarries work epileptically and even one has closed down permanently.

What you do not know is not all those quarries you see managed by the chinese are owned by them... Few are owned by the Top Nigerians.

Another example is ESPRO Asphalt Production and Quarry Company where I worked when it started operation on ibadan - ife express way wasinmi Ikire, Osun state during Oyinlolas term was brought to Nigeria by the late Ooni of ife Oba Sijuade but everyday activity of the company is run by the Turkish ppl from Turkey and up till tomorrow, the chairman of that company would always be Late Oonis son. This I know because I was a full staff there.

It's corruption that's affecting quarries managed by nigerians... That's all i can say.

Our love for middle man job is so alarming, we technically hate anything that will demand high level of thinking. The last time I was in calabar quary, I see Chinese everywhere milking us dry

There is corruption with every black man. Quarries run by blacks don't last 6 months, if it lasts longer u queue for 2 days to get 3/4 down, the staff members in every department in black man quarry only think of how to make extra, illegal and side money. And these will surely affect the sustainability of the quarry. If u go to any quarry and see a black man as the scaleman, just know 100% that you would be cheated.

While quarries fully operated by the white skinned last many years. The reason for this, I do not know. I can't say poverty because those white skinned ppl that do d line jobs in the quarries are also poor by their look but they will never compromise unlike the blacks. 90% of those Chinese and Asians you see doing those labour work of the quarries are mostly prisoners. I had interviewed them before so I know what I'm saying.

In all, it's corruption affecting black man to fully and efficiently operate a quarry because up to the director cadre thinks of making money for himsef but not the company.
