PhysicsQED: The Latin alphabet is just a corrupt version of the Phoenician alphabet, which itself was from the Proto-Sinaitic/Proto-Canaanite script, which is itself a corruption of Egyptian hieroglyphics. I don't see what the big deal would be about having to use Latin letters really.

Maybe some people would try and use Nsibidi characters though. I wonder how that would work out.
