oseiwe:I'm sure you know Tesla which is a complete EV and the likes of Nissan Leaf which can go more than 150 miles or more. They are not for short trips technology has improve and its getting better. Whereas, hybrid is not a complete EV (Electric Vehicle). My assertion above was that i expected more economy from the hybrid which a few here would agree. Its economy is no different from a regular Camry 09 with i4 engine with an avg 25mpg on the highway. |

GAZZUZZ:Hmmm 11.2202 kilometers per litre 8.9125 litres per 100 kilometers 0.0891 litres per kilometer This is not impressive. The engine must have ran all through the journey with average speed of 120kmph. I think this hybrid car will not be able boost the car to an average speed of 100kmph without the engine kicking in. In every EV car, the faster you go the more battery energy is consumed. My opinion: A hybrid car is not the best car for an interstate journey. A hybrid car is best suited for city driving when you hit the traffic to get more value for your money. 5 Likes |
