experts: *Accord Leaders in Osun Defy Adeleke, Reaffirm Gbenga Hashim as Presidential Candidate*
Leaders, stakeholders, and longstanding members of the Accord Party in Osun State, including executives who were in the party long before Governor Ademola Adeleke joined its ranks, on Wednesday reaffirmed their support for Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, insisting that no external influence can override the will of party members.
The declaration was made at a rally in Osogbo attended by party leaders, women groups, youth supporters, and grassroots members from across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the party, Daniel Adedayo said the gathering was convened to formally reaffirm Olawepo-Hashim's mandate and send a clear message that Accord members in Osun remain firmly behind his presidential aspiration.
According to him, Olawepo-Hashim possesses the vision, experience, and national appeal required to provide the leadership Nigeria needs at this critical moment.
"Our gathering here today is to reaffirm our support for Olawepo-Hashim as the party's presidential candidate. He is the man Nigerians are waiting for, and we are ready to stand with him all the way," Adedayo said.
The party leaders rejected suggestions that support for Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election bid in the August 15 governorship election should translate into abandoning the party's presidential ambition.
"Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim remains our presidential candidate. Nobody can trade away a mandate freely given by party members. The governorship election and the presidential election are separate matters," Adedayo declared.
Also speaking, the party's Women Leader, Rukayat Olanrewaju, described Olawepo-Hashim's emergence as a reflection of the confidence party members have in his leadership, integrity, and vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria.
She said party members in Osun State remain resolute in their support for his candidacy and would continue to mobilise grassroots support for his campaign ahead of the 2027 election.
Hundreds of supporters waved banners and placards in support of Olawepo-Hashim, chanting slogans and declaring their loyalty to what they described as the party's authentic presidential mandate.
The stakeholders urged the national leadership of the party to respect the wishes of members and uphold the principles of internal democracy, insisting that the mandate given to Olawepo-Hashim cannot be negotiated, substituted, or surrendered to external political interests.
The rally comes amid ongoing controversy over the Accord Party's presidential nomination process, with supporters maintaining that Olawepo-Hashim remains the validly elected and widely accepted choice of party members across the country.
https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/2027-osun-accord-party-declares-support-for-olawepo-hashim/ It is becoming Clearer that Hashim is a force to reckon with. No voice for within or outside his party can prevail over him. This time people are not even concerned about party, but person. |

Olamidimeji2026: History doesn’t lie. While Hashim was on the streets risking it all for democracy, some were busy aligning with military interests. Labour movement knows who their genuine ally is, that’s why progressive voices are rallying behind Gbenga Hashim. True fighter, true leader! This is a brilliant submission, but I think our real problem is that we forget too soon. |

Noey: Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim brings something rare to Nigerian leadership: proven activism, real business success in the energy sector, and a lifelong commitment to uniting the country. While others talk about change, Hashim has lived it — from fighting apartheid and military rule to building bridges across divides today. Nigeria needs a leader with both principles and practical solutions in 2027. Hashim is that leader! Thank you for this, but many who do not do proper research just feel Hashim is a new bird. |

Tenses: Waste of votes and voter's time
All Unions, NGOs, Societies, Clubs and Associations should put their weights b3hind Peter Obi, the candidate of NDC.
You'd be doing the nation a great service.
Thank you all. What made you think Peter Obi is better? Gbenga Hashim is not a rookie, his pro democracy struggle stands him out, and even now, Hashim is one of the Major voice of Opposition, not Obi that is jumping from one party to another. |

Sincerely, Nigeria and Nigerians need a new set of leaders. But before then let's start digging out the antecedent of those vying for the topmost seat. What have they been able to build outside politics?
From my findings Dr. Hashim is not just a rookie, he has built thriving businesses, and with a deep understanding of Nigeria's political landscape as one of the foremost voice who fought and who is still fighting for the advancement of democracy in Nigeria.
Hashim can fix it! |

It's possible through the background knowledge of colour chemistry, for one to be able to mix two different colours to get resultant third colour.
"white+black=gray"
In fact, some create wonderful crystal art work combining more than two different colours.
This same analogy comes to play in our lives when we want to stand in between two divergent options.
I have come in contact with several individuals who are not ready to be different but only want to pix mix with anything or everything that presents.
White and Black? It will be really cool if only we could, If only we could add both to get gray but NO gray,I mean no shades of GRAY ,you've got to be white or black
Love the lord and still bad things? But you can't profess the lord and still profess the world.
You Wanna be safe and stay cool too? You can't have your cake and eat it
