Fellow South Africans quick one how many Cheetah fighter jets are still in SA, I know Denel has 2 for testing purposes but my residence is in Centurion and since last night jets were flown which I thought it was the Gripen's but today realised it's 4 Cheetahs being flown throughout the day. Cape Town - The city of Durban has been confirmed as historic host of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The announcement was made in Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday.

It will be the first time an African city hosts the Commonwealth Games.

Canadian city and previous host Edmonton withdrew from the 2022 race in February, citing oil price-related financial concerns, leaving the South African port as the only bidder.

"A historic decision for all of us and one that my commission completely endorses," newly-elected Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) president Louise Martin told the organisation's general assembly in Auckland.

The next Commonwealth Games will be held at Australia's Gold Coast in 2018.
