Hello VisaOfficer!

My mom filled the I-130 form back in June 2005 for my uncle, his wife, and their daughter, and his biggest concern is not getting approved before his daughter turns 21 (in July 2018). Since she was only 7-years-old when the I-130 was filed, will it matter if she turns 21 before the petition gets approved? Is there anything that can be done, perhaps with the help of a lawyer?

My mom filled the I-130 form back in 2005 for my uncle, his wife, and their daughter, but my uncle wants to visit my mom and me for a month. He has his own business to return to, will not be visiting the U.S. with his wife and daughter, and still has a few years before his I-130 can get approved.

Should he be up front during the interview and let the CO know right off the bat about the I-130 or will he be asked about it without having to bring it up first? He genuinely wants to only visit for a short period of time since we haven't seen each other in years and wants to be as honest as possible during his interview, so he wants to know how he needs to address it.
