No they won't. The present team without VVD and Koulibally has beaten loserpool twice and also beat Man city as well.

The coach just needs to get the best out of his team and we will be doing well. The coach needs to play the right players in the right positions and bin players that are trashy. Any opposition that sees Saka and Martinelli in RWF and LWF respectively has some serious headache to deal with because he needs to imprint it on his guys to worry about those 2 while still telling them to attack us.

If Arteta gets his act right we certainly don't need to break the bank before we start doing well again.

3. You honestly don't want to see what the pairing of Luiz and Mustafi can do to a good team with decent midfielders. You can check some of the matches last year and see how trashy CB's can spoil the whole work of the entire team. I will never forgive Luiz for the man city game last season when he gave the ball away and also got red carded. I don't know how u people forget all these things and suddenly we think Mustafi, Luiz and other clowns are decent defenders

4. I see someone talking about holding "holding" our defence along with Pablo Mari. ( I think that's Jodera). Honestly Holding is trash from the games I've watched recently ; he's just being carried along. His judgement with the ball are just too questionable. If not that having 2 left footed CB would be out of place, I would've suggested he be binned straight away.

When you want to correct a problem you need to do the right things first. You can't do the wrong things and expect good results. The right thing was to play your best players i.e Saka, Ozil, ESR, Martinelli NOT Willian, Pepe, Willock.

Arteta caused the problem by going defensive playing 5 at the back and playing attacking players known for their work rate and defensive discipline like Willock and Willian instead of flair players like Saka, Nelson, ESR.

Which attacking player did Arteta buy in December to effect this turnaround? Why are you now scoring multiple goals in your matches? Who are theses important acquisitions in attack that have made this attacking football possible?

This is surely on Arteta because before the season started he knew ozil wasn't part of his plans.
He have the choice of going for a defender or AM and a midfielder (partey). We saw what he did and instead of implementing plan b(ESR) he waited till fans started calling for him

Why are you people making it seem like he bought 5 defenders. He bought only Gabriel and recalled Saliba. He also bought Partey for the midfield and only injuries have stopped you guys from seeing that that was an equally significant signing.

Partey and any of your CMs with ESR/Ozil with Saka, Martinelli, Auba in front and Nelson, Pepe, Laca as subs is a good line up. Bellerin and Tierney as overlapping FBs.

A midfield of Partey, Torreira, Elneny, Ceballos, Ozil, Guendouzi, ESR is good enough but your manager and board made bad decision after bad decision and you started relying on Xhaka and Willock.

An attack of Auba, Martinelli, Saka, Laca, Pepe, and a new player not called Willian is good enough but your coach made wrong decisions.

You guys didn't buy these attacking players in December, they were always there but your manager was clueless about how to integrate them. That is the No1 reason for your struggles.

Imagine playing a flying LB with wicked left foot like Tierney as a LCB just so you can field as many defenders as possible. That alone is close to a sackable offence. I watched Tierney before you guys bought him and i felt he would be an attacking upgrade for us only for Adete to play him as LCB.

Imagine giving a fearless youngster like Saka measly minutes when he is obviously ready and better than Pepe and Willian combined. That Willian deal on its own should be a sackable offence for whoever approved it.

The major reason you guys struggled was not lack of attacking players BUT your manager playing defensive formation and relying on more experienced but off form attacking players.

Was Gabriel needed considering the number of central back we have available?

1. At the time we got Gabriel we had an injured Chambers, a misfit called Mustafi, an injured Pablo Mari and a senior clown called David Luiz. All these are CB's with whom we did bad defensively last season. The coach making a call for a solid CB that will strengthen our defensive position is not out of place in anyway.

2. What Afrodoc is saying is quite visible for us all to see. Arsenal was losing earlier in the year not because Arteta chose to strengthen defense ahead of midfield, rather it's because Arteta was playing the wrong set of players and wrong formation/ wrong tactics. To confirm this ask urself if Arsenal signed another midfielder within the space of the last 3 weeks before we got back to winning ways ; the answer is what u should focus on.

3. That Arsenal is winning while Gabriel is out has nothing to do with Gabriel being an unnecessary buy when he was bought. Gabriel did not cause an own-goal, he's not always drawn out of position like Mustafi always does etc. The match he got the red card we saw how he was over burdened with so much defensive duties that he was almost everywhere trying to stop the oppositions attacking moves.

We are not pushing any agenda just stating the obvious, until the midfield is sorted out even VVD and koulibally can't save arsenal defence.
There was a season mertersacker and Kos helped sczeny win golden glove, not because they were the best pair in the league but because the midfield was so good.
Mustafi have been out of the way but we still concede and drink goals, it's obvious defence wasn't the problem. What's the point of having over 8Cbs and only 2 will start

The point I made was you had enough talent in your team to play good football and score goals however Arteta short-circuited the season by playing defensive formations and persisting with Wilian, Pepe e.t.c and ridiculous choices like Tierney at LCB.

The issue was buying more defenders when he could have gotten better midfielder. Do you believe good midfield will ease defence affairs and also improve attack?
Some of us like me think buying Gabriel was not necessary considering the number of defender we have instead of going for attacking midfielder.
I'm not saying Gabriel is not good but was that the main priority?
A case study is presently, he isn't playing and we winning with CS everyone know arsenal defenders are clowns but if we have better midfielders to ease the pressure on them they will make less mistake.
As it stand now even if we have VVD and koulibally in defence we will still concede stupid goals because my problem lies in that midfield of xhaka especially and his partner.
