The inscription on that building itself is WESTERN literacy 'ILE IJUBA IDIN LEKE' every letter is borrowed from the West to express the Yoruba language. Those letter don't have their roots in Yoruba culture the same applies to the architecture. The style, the choice of material even the functionality of the building. No need dragging this because it doesn't degrade it. Expect that it compliments it in a good way.

Sometimes it is the climate, some times environmental challenges such as earth quakes, sometimes availability of materials and so many others.
