Disclaimer: I'm not an agent, and neither am I a guru. This may not answer your question directly and it might sound a bit off, but I just thought to share, since some people are more focused on derailing this thread.

So, let's analyze this together from a point of reason. Pay attention to the emboldened words.

The primary purpose of applying to schools abroad irrespective of the country is to relocate. This, I believe is true for many, but if not for you, then my analysis could be useless to you. Your single most important service to yourself is to make a decision that is beneficial long-term and this might require cutting some short-term losses.

First of all, I don't think you'll be able to use the Canada study permit while running your program in the UK, unless you defer your admission to a time you'd have completed your UK program. What this means is that you'd incur tuition and living expenses first in the UK (plus flight costs) and then, Canada. Double Expenses.

Second, there is a risk of losing the Canada Visa if the school refuses to accept deferral or you're not able to complete your program in the UK in record time, or as a result of any other unforeseen circumstance.

What you need to consider:

How long does it take to become a Permanent Resident in the UK and Canada? I think 5 and 3 years respectively
How long does it take to become a Citizen in the UK and Canada? I think 6 and 5 years respectively
Will your child become a citizen if delivered when you're still a temporary resident in the UK and Canada? I think No and Yes respectively
What is the process of securing PR (ILR) in the UK and Canada? For UK, you'll need an employer at some point and for Canada, it's a 100% self-driven process.
Can you get a refund for your flight and Tuition?
Can you afford to lose those funds? and if you do, what's the Opportunity Cost - For instance, if the UK program tuition cost is 15,000pounds and Canada Program Tuition cost is 10,000CAD per year. It might still make sense to forgo what you've paid because living cost in the UK is generally higher than in Canada (of course, there are other location-based factors to consider).

If I were in your shoes, I'll go for Canada no matter the short-term losses.

2. Just the week after the UK visa came out, Canada sent mail that my application has been approved that I should send my original passport for stamping.

4. My confusion now is that if I should send my passport to Nairobi, I will not be able to meet up with my travel plan to UK.

5. I really wish to get the Canadian visa, my question is now that " CAN I GET MY PASSPORT STAMPED WHEN I GET TO UK AT THE CANADIAN EMBASSY IN UK?

I have been a silent reader all along, but it is time to cry out as my mind is failing.....

I would appreciate it if I could get advice on the challenges I have at hand.

I was offered admission at the Centennial College in Ontario for the Fall term of 2022. I have made part payment of my tuition as requested by the school.

I forwarded my study VISA application sometime in April and went for Biometrics on May 5 2022.

I did not submit an upfront medical.
POF submitted was 11.3m plus other required documents

This week will make my application precisely 12 weeks and Nothing has been heard.

I applied for another programme in the UK also for September 2022 also. My major aim is to leave Nigeria latest first week of September 2022.

I have been given admission in the UK at York St John University to be precise. I am yet to make a commitment about the tuition and yet to apply for VISA as I am a bit curious not to make a wrong decision.

I want Nairalanders to advise me if I should go ahead to make a commitment to York St John. The part payment for the tuition is about 5600pounds.

My Questions are
1. Is it advisable for me to pay for the tuition while I still await the response from the Canadian Embassy?
2. Will York St John refund me the tuition if eventually, I get a positive response from Canada?
3. If the Canadian embassy's response eventually comes in while I am already in the UK, can I still continue the application process in the UK to leave the UK for Canada?

I would appreciate elites on this forum to assist in giving advice as I am currently dying out of endless waiting.
