PoliticsAll Progressives Congress APC Abia Central Senatorial District Candidate Rt Hon by SoloMedia(op): 12:09pm On Jun 12
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.

In a message marking the June 12 national holiday, Atuma extended his warm greetings to the people of Abia Central Senatorial District, Ndi Abia, and Nigerians across the country, describing Democracy Day as a significant occasion for reflection on the nation’s democratic journey.

He said the celebration provides an opportunity to honour the sacrifices of those who fought for democratic governance and to recommit to the principles of freedom, justice, equity, and good governance.

According to Atuma, although Nigeria’s democracy has witnessed remarkable progress over the years, there remains a need to ensure that the dividends of democracy are felt by all citizens. He urged Nigerians to continue strengthening democratic institutions, upholding the rule of law, and promoting peaceful coexistence irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious differences.

The APC chieftain particularly encouraged young people to remain actively involved in the democratic process and to sustain their belief in the possibility of a better Nigeria, noting that the country’s future depends largely on the choices citizens make and their commitment to national development.

He further called on Nigerians to use the occasion of Democracy Day to renew their faith in the nation and work collectively towards promoting peace, security, economic growth, and sustainable development.

Reaffirming his commitment to the progress of Abia Central Senatorial District, Atuma pledged to continue advocating for leadership anchored on service, accountability, and the welfare of the people.

He wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Democracy Day celebration.
