Business / How To Start An Ecommerce Home Business by solomonawotide: 10:25am On Apr 04, 2018
Starting an eCommerce home business can be a very effective way of making money online, especially as ecommerce is a renowned and widely used online platform for auctions and currently has millions of daily visitors to sell to. Many people already do full time ecommerce selling for good money and so can you, if you just learn how to do it. In its essence, there's nothing magic about it, it's just buying and selling to make a living.

What Is Drop Shipping?

Drop shipping means that you sell products to your customer that you don't physically have in stock. A dropship company, can make this possible by holding the stock for you and shipping it out directly to your customer.
Unlike traditional business, you do not have to borrow money from the bank and source products in bulk before you sell anything. Therefore, you aren't facing the risk of having products in stock that doesn't turn out as popular as you might have hoped. This guarantees that you never have to sell anything below cost price. Moreover, you don't have to pay for drop shipping services, before you sell anything.
Normally, when you buy from wholesalers, you have to buy in large quantities. But with dropship wholesalers you get low prices even on small quantities.
One other major benefit is that anyone can start a business from home by simply listing the products in eBay, Amazon, izuta marketplace in Nigeria or even an own website. There is no need for start-up capital, as the dropship company is holding and managing the stock for you. Only once you get an order, you pay for shipping it out.
Besides, the benefit that anyone can start dropshipping right away is that the cumbersome order processing is completely taken out of your hands. You don't have to pick, pack, and ship orders as the drop ship supplier will do that on behalf of you. So what you have to take care of is to focus on sales and communicate the sales to the drop ship company. Don't regard this as a minor benefit, only skipping the daily trip to the postal office is already a major part of your time that you could effectively use to plan your marketing campaigns that really bringing in the money. If you do just that, the dropshipper will take care of the order processing. As said, they have everything in stock, and this means, your orders are dispatched within a working day.

1) Decide what to buy and sell.

* Find out what interests you: The most important step is to find out what you're interested in, because selling what you know will greatly facilitate the task of answering questions of potential buyers about your product. Just imagine you sold cellphones without knowing anything about them and someone asks you whether your cellphone has a 3 mega pixel or a 2 mega pixel camera, and you don't know what a mega pixel is, nor if your product has a camera! The potential buyer would most probably take you for a scam and never consider buying from you!
* Find out what sells well: Selling Polaroid films now when nobody has the corresponding cameras anymore would probably not make you millions, instead of that, selling laptops, cellphones or cameras is a profitable business at this moment. But keep in mind that it can sometimes be more profitable to sell to a smaller market because generally there is not as much competition on these as for very big markets. For instance, if you sold iPhone's, you would have to get them at a very good price to stay competitive because everybody sells them nowadays. So maybe you should choose stuff that's not as hyped in the moment.
* Consider the price range: Selling high-priced items generally allows you to get better profits because you add more value to your product as you would if you sold something that only costs a few bucks. Selling blank notebooks for 7$ when buying them at 5$ gives you 2$ profit each time, selling cellphone for 500$ which you bought at 400$ gives you 100$ profit each time, but keep in mind that in order to sell higher priced items, you need more capital to invest at the start, and you should know your turf because people are less likely to give 500$ to a nobody than giving 7$!

2) Get your products from wholesalers or drop shippers

3) Sell the articles on eMarketplaces

4) Check your feedback

5) Always be transparent

6) Give discounts for group shipping

Things You'll Need

1) An eMarketplace Vendor/Seller account

2) Your Local Bank Account

I will expatiate further on all the above topics later as we proceed on this ecommerce journey.

Ask me any question you need answers for and I will be glad to reply

Warnings

* Always be on the lookout for bad wholesalers. Sometimes they charge you extra for customs if they ship products to you from faraway countries (China, India, etc...) and sometimes you might get a bad mock up of the product you actually wanted to buy, so check what other people are saying on the web about that particular company! ( Check customer reviews about the suppliers)

Car Talk / Re: Rebuilding My '13 Pin' (toyota U151E) Transmission by solomonawotide: 8:44am On Jan 08, 2017
Kashif:

Have you scanned again? Do you know in which gear the sluggishness is evident? Filters dont cause flares in a particular range. So, after Asaba-Benin road, the sluggishness stopped? I am just trying to determine if your problem is actually in the transmission.

Dear Kashif,

I have not scanned again since I came back to Lagos. The sluggishness is evident after shifting to gear 3 while about to climb the hills. The sluggishness did not stop till I got to Lagos but the hills from Ore to Lagos are not as high as asaba -Benin road. When the gear is cold, it jerks when I shift to reverse position.

Kashif:

What is the ECU commanding? Do you have flares? (as if the car goes to nuetral)?

When lockup is commanded, the ECU leans out fuel supply. This happens at higher ranges. If there is engine performance problem, it could be mistaken for transmission problem. Scan and post any code(s) here.

Thanks for your time. Kashif,

The codes initially was P0016 and P0746 and P0776 but by then I have flares on shift 3 but after that I decided to change the atf the second time but to oem recommended t-iv and bought a new filter and couple with the fact that the gear man clean up the filter second time. After I used the car to travel to the East, the flare stops but on my way back to Lagos the car became sluggish while climbing the hills especially on Asaba to Benin road.

What are the symptoms? If your ATF is dirty already, just servicing the VB alone will not cure it, as it will get recontaminated.

The symptoms are: it is sluggish when climbing. It starts on gear 1 and changes to 2 and 3 but as soon as I want to climb, it becomes sluggish but that is the way I drove it to the East and back to Lagos.
I bought new atf oem t-iv and changed it before I traveled to the East. So where can I service the VB.

Thanks.

Hello Kashif

Well done. My Toyota camry 2005 has similar transmission problem after atf change. The car started misbehaving. I scanned it and got P0746 and P0776. The atf level was low. But I went to a transmission expert i
Kashif:

Like you have been advised, get external cooler.
n Ladipo and I was told it is the valve body problem. I needed to travel with the car to the east for the new year, so I bought oem atf at ridiculous price of 31k to be sure I would not roast the gear. I successfully went and came back to Lagos but with difficulty. I need your advice on how to get the problem solved. Please advise. Solomon
