johnnyholtby: This is a DNS issue. You can try Cloudfare DNS plus Google's DNS as backup. Been using this for months and it works fine Does yours auto switch custom dns off whenever you reboot? |

Risingcash94: But why can't this annoying deduction be made at the time of investment. Tampering with one's capital long after using the profit is back setting Won't be possible, since they're acting according to the law. What I do is, i just deduct it myself and then leave it in the account before taking out the interest. |

Olise that I know is normally answered by Anioma people.
Olise is same as Olisa, means God. Just different dialect under one language.
But that's not the topic here. |

UncleJudax: A Stanbic IBTC T-Bills offer shows a management fee of about 1% but no withholding tax (WHT) stated.
The value shown/estimated at maturity is also without additional deductions.
Is WHT and/or additional deductions expected at some point? Yes, withholding tax will be deducted at maturity of the investment. |

dustmalik: The other day i came across a news where the minister of communication in Ghana announced that MTN fibre pricing in Ghana has drastically reduced. The government intervened and got the prices down. The plan that caught my attention was the 300Mbps plan that now costs approximately 54k. If we had such a plan in this country, most people would prefer to use Fibre, given how slow and annoying Starlink has become in places like Abuja, especially during the day.
It got me thinking about the useless government we have. The only thing it is good at is taxing these companies to hell, and in return, these companies pass those cost to us the customers. I saw it too. Their fiberx pricing is way lower than ours. |

johnnyholtby: Same here. Starlink agent told me it's WiFi interference from my end. Also said that I should split WiFi bands (which I did ever since I got my kit).
Safe to say starlink customer support don't know the cause too, but at least they acknowledged the pack losses shown on events and outages logs. They are lying. This packet loss issue started days ago and it only comes up in the evenings |

Seeplusplus: Abuja is the most useless capital on earth.
An average Abuja resident doesn't earn above 100k.
Abuja salary package is very, very poor.
But you can't blame the recruiters.
This city has zero industries, zero companies, zero multinationals, zero production of goods and services.
The only thriving industry is politics and land grabbing.
Very, very useless place indeed Well said. Politics is the only thriving thing in Abuja. Very useless place... |

Helinuse: What do you mean by "industry standards?"

Nigerians use some words but don't know they were created just for them. Such words hardly exist or are rarely used outside the Nigerian context. I mean, for God's sake, what is the meaning of INDUSTRY standards? Industry standards is what is generally acceptable in the market that is commensurate with the role. All I see is just the perks that comes with the role, free lunch, transport allowance and bla bla bla |

senator282: Experience depends on the location you are,ask people within that location using it already to tell you about their experience. You can't compare fibre internet technology with satellite technology. Fibre is better but it depends on those running the fibre network. Okay. Thanks! |

Please, for those that switched from starlink to mtn fiberx, how is the experience like? Is it way better than starlink? And also after switching, did you have to contact starlink cc to disconnect your terminal.? Because I once heard that if you just stop subscribing without informing them, the bills will keep piling up..
For context, I'm abt changing apartment, and the new apartment has fiberx installed, which means I will probably stop using starlink. |

johnnyholtby: Handing out?
Or you meant you lodged a complaint and they gave you service credit? I didn't lodge any complain at all. My sub expired last night, by the time I woke up, their normal payment reminder email was already in my mail. As I logged in to make payment, discovered that there was no outstanding balance. On scrolling down, saw that the balance was already offset with the credits they gave. |

It seems starlink is handing out free credits due to the outages experienced most recently. I got one month free sub.. |
