Nah, not at all. The guy was more than lucky. It's divine Grace. Used his first degree. No experience. But a first class graduate though. He was the only one who got into the commercial and coperate unit among the 10 of them. But they were Second Class too

He said to tell you how competitive this is. People left their Master's program abroad just to apply for Shell.

After scaling pass the ODVI stage. The remaining assessment is physical.
A Case study presentation and face to face interview.
The case study would take an hour or more. You'll be alerted on a case study to prepare for, 48hrs before the day of your interview. On that day, your unit will select a topic for your presentation from the case study. You'll be given 30min to prepare for your presentation. You'll then be given 10 min to present in front of your unit. After presentation, you'll be thrown questions from your presentation for you to answer. A 1hrs+ Questions and Answers.

Afterwards, you'll move for the final interview, which is a face to face interview with the unit head. You'll be ask direct questions like.. Why did you chose shell, what do you choose to accomplish if given the job and many other questions etc. That's all

Which is why I believe that test stuff is sometimes grace to be honest. I think the interview stuff is true, one that got into shell 2022 told me the interview was 3 hours too. But said passing the initial test is where the main deal is.

Most that got in can only help you most when you pass the assessment ( in terms of helping you prepare for interview and all that) They won’t be able to tell how they passed the assessment apart from doing their usual best on it.

That’s where the issue with shell assessment is. You can’t really tell what they look for in the assessment stage.

At most you can only ask him how he approached his ODVI to get a clue on how to do yours. Apart from that, nothing much really

Sure I did asked about that.. and the message below was his response..

Me: Do you think you did something different during your assessment and ODVI?

Him: "Honestly, I don't think I did.

In fact, I had to rush the ODVI because I was extremely busy during the period.

But the interview is what I can speak much about, the interview was about 3 hours."

Yeah, it's a HR technique of rejecting an individualwithout making them feelless of themselves.

I also got the rejection mail.

I spoke with a colleague who got the graduate trainee last year. He said it's really highly competitive. Out of 50,000 applicants only 10 of them got the job. This particular stage is where they'll drop many people. Less than 0.5% will make it through. And at the end it was certain and obvious that those 10 applicant worth it.. as they were exceptionally good. Shell is highly competitive with a good pay at the end. 30M annually for graduate trainee.. that's including other allowances

There were 4 columns of selection for field of preference that was what they used I think because before you fill there they said people should choose rightly as they will only call people based on areas shell need at the moment,I don't think it has to do with you been in the US provided youbare a nigerian,did NYSC

I received an update on my application. To summarize, they do not have positions available in my preferred area of work, location, or start date. And will contact me should the situation changes before the end of the calendar year.

I am guessing this is because of my US address. Goodluck to folks still in the process.

It's true the Resource section happens to be the easiest by the time I realised it. I had moved to the 3rd question in the section after seeing the Resource at the top. I couldn't go back to previous questions so as to correct my answers.

At the end. I mentioned it in my overall feedback though. About how I couldn't made that 2 corrections. Well... it's fine though. Till now haven't gotten a response on the final results. Anything that comes I accept with full chest.

We wait for Seplat.

When writing my assessment. I had a mistake in the second question consisting of 8 questions.

I didn't realise to check the resources given and I tried answering 1 and 2 questions like that.. it was then I realised the resources given above. While I went through it. It was easy bit I had failed the 1 and 2 questions I answered earlier. I hope it doesn't affect my overall performance.

yea.acceptance fee is out.chk those given admission by d side of their course you'll see*CLICK TO PAY*nd 4 2nd list...they gave my fwnd mathematics(UME) inclusive to the direct entry nd CCE list they released.i dnt really knw if any other list wil b out for UTME.
