Earlier today,NNPC has decided to come out clean with the price they bought fuel from Dangote at N898/litre but Dangote claimed it not true, without stating the price they sold it to NNPC.
Dangote here is the problem because I won't be shocked if that's actually the price they bought it
Dangote is a confirmed monopolistic businessman. He is a cabal as well

You want us to see that you have met Saraki and GEJ. We have heard, oya come and be going.

But the fact that you criticized both GEJ and Saraki shows how poor your judgment is.

I’m sure you were criticizing them for Tinubu. Are you proud of what he’s doing now?

Is he not doing times one million of what you criticized GEJ for?
It's the same feeling. I don't like tinubu but if I see him I will bow. It's not easy to accomplish what he has accomplished. BTW u are a staunch APC and a Yoruba

If they removed it completely. You gained nothing as a citizen. Just like you're gaining nothing now than pains and high cost of living. What will happen os that there'll be more of Faac to share to states just as they're doing already. The states governments in turn takes it's time to embezzle them just as they're doing now. Did you notice any usefulness or great development and utilization of increased allocation to the states? Some of them even can't pay the new minimum wage despite the increase allocation.

This are the only way common man benefits from the common wealth of the nation.

Subsidy or no subsidy corruption nd embezzlement will never leave Africa cos of greed.
When I buy PMS at #1200 and they are still claiming subsidy. You are right just sha that's the only thing we benefit as citizen.

Very revealing. Now, I understand the reason for many instances of demolition though I still think that demolition should be done with more of human face.

Hi guys!
Isn't it too low and lazy of us to be turning every learning opportunity into toxic ethnic banters that benefit no one? Shouldn't this be an opportunity to exchange ideas among young people seeking a better country? Are you sure we are not being worked against ourselves? We need to change this attitude because it's behind at least 80% of our problems in this country.
Most people are not seeking a better country, they just want their kins man to be in charge.

pryme:
I was hoping the main reason NNPC was the sole buyer of petrol from Dangote was to subsidize which will be a miniscule amount compared to what they are paying now for foreign imports. If not Govt (disguising as NNPC) should get the fkuc out of the way and allow the market take care of itself.
From the look of things is better they remove this subsidy. I suspect alot of foul play

[quote author=ALTERNATEID post=132008727]Which one should we now believe? Punch at N766 or Vanguard at N960/980?

Why is it so difficult for Dangote to publicly announce the price he intend to sell to marketers? He has been very vocal about a lot of things this year but now that it’s time to sell, he is keeping quiet about the price. [/quoteO]

I still don't understand this arrangement oooo.

Why should NNPC be the sole distributor of petrol from a private refinery of someone you once accused of monopoly in Nigeria, for a product you claim to be fully deregulated?

This whole NNPC-DANGOTE rigmarole raises a lot of doubts, on the intent of this administration in providing affordable petrol to Nigerians.

I think both NNPC and DANGOTE are looking for an exploitative advantage. cry

U don't understand business. How much was return tickets to London before airpeace came on board?? But do you know that airpeace isn't the cheapest the cheapest ticket now? Sometimes you lower price to announce your arrival to to eliminate competition and when your competitors are out of business, u set the price to what you want.

If you think Dangote is the problem here then you don't really know what is going on, is Dangote not selling to other countries, does he have any issue with them?
If you think he's not the problem, you don't know what is going on. He's selling to those countries as last resort. He might be lowering price to sell because he has no option left. Now let me ask u, why has he not made the price of PMS known ?? Do u think marketers will abandoned cheap products as he claims to buy where it's costlier??

I disagree with this, he has been telling us what's nnpc is doing that's affecting the operation of the company. If the fault is entirely not his he would have shouted like before. All I can see from this is that he want to maximize profits at the detriment of the masses. Let him speak up.

Dangote's selling price is not the issue for now...

Since he hasn't told you how much he is willing to sell.

It's nnpc that is playing games here.

If Dangote's price is higher nnpc would have stated that by now.

NNPC hasn't given any reason that holds water what stops them from buying.

Dangote has invested a lot of money in that refinery and appears eager to sell... Nnpc appears eager to not buy and frustrate any deal.

Read body language. The onion doesn't fall on Dangote to end the scarcity but on the FG!
In one of the videos I saw nnpc said they are free to sell to other major marketers and they also said they won't buy unless its price is lower than that of international market.
Politics / Re: Why NNPC May Not Lift Dangote Petrol On Sunday by Solsix(m): 1:07pm On Sep 11
brain54:

If he sells internationally...

Economies of scale would be at play - Selling domestically allows Dangote to optimize logistics and reduce transportation costs.

That's what I meant by reduced profit margins!
Since there is no transportation cost to bear, that should be enough to reduce price and end this fuel scarcity
