My Corolla 03 stalls once engage on drive or reverse in trying to find solutions now the car won't start was told the brain box has been damaged in the process.. another brain box was used to check it yet car still won't start.

When scanned reads communication error

Pls..I need help my car started by engine off once engaged on driver or reverse in trying to solve that now it won't start at all..
I was told that the car brain box is damaged during the process and other brain box was brought to text it yet the car won't start..
