You should consider the pros and cons of the offer.

The fact that the company went silent for months shows that the person is not their first-choice candidate, probably they accepted other person(s) and they rejected their offer, so, they now decided to reach out to the person rather than starting another recruitment process...

If taking the new offer while still keeping your job was an option, then I would advise s/he takes it but I doubt the possibility of that, because from what I know, working with a pharmaceutical company can be so demanding, also, considering the rigorous interview process you went through, it shows the role is not a joke.

Now my own take, working remotely will give you the opportunity to do other things, you can as well develop your skills by taking courses, you earn well, tbh, what you earn atm could be what a manager in the company you are considering earns, keep your job while you look out for other opportunities that'd afford you taking care of your responsibilities well, the difference in the pay is too wide... The only benefit I see there that you don't have is pension, and you can also set aside some money as voluntary contributions for yourself...

If you settle for 220k, you would pay transport, want to appear frosh to work every time so you'll need to level up your wardrobe game, see ehn, a lot is to be considered, the pay gap is too much, would you be able to adjust, also, going from a fully remote work to full onsite job (not even hybrid) wouldn't be that easy, especially with lower pay, do you think there's another thing that would motivate you on the job? Please think abt it very well, then make a decision that best fits you.

If I were you, I won't take that offer o, the fact that they ghosted me for months seff is enough reason for me not to take it which obviously a BIG RED FLAG, because if I were your preferred candidate, you'd give me feedback and not leave me in limbo.

Let me tell you my story, I joined a company when I was still working, where the benefits were mouth watering. 5 months into joining they revoked almost all the benefits. Did salary review during that period and I was exempted.

My letter says I will be confirmed after 6 months, 2 year and 8 months, rather they kept piling up jobs for you. What 2 people can do, 1 person will do till he or she breaks down.

Once an employee resigns, the person's job will be shared amongst staff that are overwhelmed already.

To worsen matter, the politics and toxicity is sickening. Forget that nonsense leading pharmaceutical company and listed on NGX or whatever you wrote up there.for me its not even a thing for me to think about. Youu don't know what God done for you, working remotely and receiving 400k do you know how transportation cost has skyrocketed. if the onsite job was even to pay 500k, I will still chose 400k remotely. Are my going to take the leading pharmaceutical company big name listed on NGX to the market as purchasing power?

Abeg stay with your job ooo, and look for how you can monetize the skills you have acquired on the job.

Besides there are better remote paying jobs out there. Just get to know some of the sites or join JobZoneNG on telegram.

If I can't keep both, then I'd hold on to my current job, while looking out for better offers would offer me better compensation package.

Some time last year, I was dead broke and I had no option but to borrow 1500 from a loan app for a week with about 90% increase ,on the due date ,I was being threatened that I will be called criminal and all my friends that have forgotten me will remember me for bad when they post my picture to them .

I also borrowed 300k from fairmoney last year and I paid back over 500k now they are calling me to come and borrow 550k ,when I check the interest rate ,I will be paying back over 1m .

This is ridiculous.

Run, never look back, I don't just delete the app, I write to them instructing them to close the account, I normally use them for business, with the rate of dollars now, business is no longer profitable and that makes the profit to be almost zeroed out, so there is no profit on top of high interest. Please don't take anything, at least this year, I'm sure of saving a least 3m from my salary by the grace of God

Around 2018, I borrowed 5400 naira from Branch . I was unable to login to pay back since then and I was really scared it would have skyrocketed but when I was able to login about 3 months ago ,the amount to pay back was still the same .

The money is small and they are considerate, have you paid them the 5400 now?
I used them before eventually yanked all of them off, once I finish paying the fair money own, I will instruct them to close my account, that's what i did for Ealla, Carbon, Branch, Palm credit, that's waste of energy and resources.

My thinking was that as a foreign bank, Stanbic IBTC Bank will be very high on professionalism.

This is the second time they are taking hold of my money while I'm abroad for the simple reason of the account being dormant.

I will not know that the account has become dormant until I or anyone pays a substantial amount to the account.

It took me to come back to Nigeria before I could access my money last 2 years. I have to provide all sort of documents. The worst is that, the staff are so confused. Each new staff you meet on duty requests a different set of documents. They do not have rules, I think.

They will also request references that they keep saying are either from a salary accout or dormant, different flimsy reasons.

The question is why should an account accept money when you know that the money will not be accessed. My experience in the western world is that if you restrict an account for any reason, it stands restricted from receiving money or having someone access same. If you restrict an account for being dormant restrict it from receiving any amount until formally released.

It's mostly unjust to receive money in an account and stop the owner from accessing it.

If Stanbic claims safety of the account from unscrupulous elements, their ineptitude will be laid bare before the public glare; other banks have a seamless ways of fielding their KYC and with other measures, give customers ready access to their funds.

You call a customer care agent and you realized he/she doesn't know what to do about a simple case in Stanbic.

I banked with Standard Bank in South Africa believed to be an affiliate and their professionalism was top notch.

FCCP or even CBN Consumer Prorection do not even read their email or anything. As an attorney in Nigeria, when once I took similar case to CBN, they said they only make peace between banks and their customers. That they are not sanction body.
