Teau:What express courier envelope/service did you use? FedEx , USPS or UPS? How did you go about it? Thanks |
Hello Guys. I need your help to understand this. There is virtually no weekend without one party or the other in Lagos. I attended a party last weekend and I was amazed by the amount of effort and obviously money that must have been spent on the party to make it that glamorous. From the decorations, to the music, foods and people spraying hard currencies on stage. There is this thing about Nigerian parties. No matter how broke we say we are, when it is time to spend on a burial or wedding, we always find a way to get the money. We even borrow money to throw parties lol. That's how much we like throwing parties in Nigeria lol. And here we are, at a period when students are resuming back to school and there are obviously a lot of school fees to be paid, books to buy, school uniforms and other fees relating to education. We Nigerian are also known to spend a lot on education. For example, getting a foreign degree and stuff. Also, private universities in Nigeria are quite expensive. School accommodation, allowances and so on. So guys, which do you think we spend more money on?. Education or Entertainment in Nigeria (Parties, events and shows). And please give your reasons. |

poca4real:Have your Alternator and Battery checked out. It happened to me recently. I had to change the Alternator. Everything now works perfectly. You may need to buy a new battery as well but make sure you check out the alternator first. Cheers |

@George_D and every one in the house. I have been silently following this thread on and off for two years now. I find it quite fascinating. I have learnt so much from this thread. You all have inspired me to setup my own Personal power project but I intend to start small. I don't have a lot of money to invest in it now. So I intend to start with just a 1.5-3.5 kva inverter and 2 batteries. I just recently found out that a friend of mine is into inverter equipment sales and installation. He told me about one Sumo inverter. It is a 24v inverter system. It is made in India. He even said they are better than Sukam and cyber power inverters as it contains more features than other inverters. And it is actually very cheaper than other inverters. So my question is, has any hears of Sumo Inverters?. If yes, how durable are they?. Is it worth it to start my power project with it?. |
Please, i need your urgent advise. My family and i have been searching all over the house for our flat document. It is for a Government allocated flat. We have searched everywhere and we are still searching for it. We didn't even noticed it was lost until yesterday when we had to make some payments concerning the house. This file contains all the original document( receipts, allocation letter, etc) for purchasing the flat. The Flat is located in Lagos. I will really appreciate it if you could help us out. Is there a way we can recover the document back?. Can the government provide us another document for the house?. If so, what's the procedure to go about it. I will appreciate the property professionals to please advise or anyone who is knowledgeable about this kind of thing i.e lawyers, real estate professionals etc. We have been living in this property for over 20 years now. We can't afford to loss it for any reason. I am beginning to lose my mind right now. Note: Can the moderator please put this at the home page?. I am sure people can learn from this. ![]() |

just seeing the reply. I haven't been to Nairaland in a while. Thank you so much. I love your advise. I really appreciate it. |
Thank you so much for your advise/comment so far. I really appreciate them. @yamakuza i like your analysis a lot. Right now, i can buy a car and maintain a car conveniently. That's not a problem. I see the need and importance to get one everyday even for my present business and also personally . But buying a car now may affect my future plans (i.e Saving more for my masters or starting a new business or even building a house). All in all , i like your analysis/advise and i am putting it into serious consideration. thanks once again. @all Please, keep the advise/comments coming. I really need to them. I don't mind if the moderator could help put this topic on front page to get more exposure because i believe a lot of people are facing the same decision and could also benefit from comment/advise from people. Thanks once again. |
Hello Nairalanders, I am in a confused state of mind right now. And i need to make a decision. I am a 26 yr old guy and i am single. I have a business which doesn't really provide a steady source of income as with most/all businesses, it has ''ups'' and ''downs''. But doing this business, i have been able to save some money thus, my need to decide on how to spend it wisely. And here are my options on how to spend it. 1. Spend it in furthering my education to go do my masters out of the country in a year or two (which will require me to continue saving as what i have won't be enough) 2. Buy a car as i don't have any right now. i have no access to personal transportation even from family member ( i can afford it now with the whole money saved up) 3. Invest in a business (the business i have in mind, will require a car and i also need to save more money). 4. Buy a land and start developing it. (will require continuous investing till it's complete) Those are my options, i will appreciate your advise/recommendation in helping me decide what to do next. Thanks. |
